Thoughts on Freedom and the United States of America
ByWhat is freedom? Is it the right to say and do as we please with no regard for the consequences of our words or deeds? Is freedom a right or responsibility we are born with? Is freedom just a word we utter with no care or concern about what it means or why we are free to speak and write this word?
In many past and current societies, to think or write these thoughts about freedom meant or means death, imprisonment or banishment. From Uncle Tom’s Cabin to The Gulag Archipelago, we learn of man’s inhumanity to man, enslavement of both the mind and the body and the hopelessness such existence bred. Yet the authors of these books gave readers of their respective era’s beacons of light to freedom.
Those who seek to suppress freedom in their societies often go to extreme lengths to do so; during the height of the Stalinist regime in Russia, people were even convicted for the thoughts in their minds yet they had not penned or uttered any of those thoughts. Today misguided, malcontents cry “Jihad”, preach the destruction of freedom, and seek to impose their concept of what society should be on others.
The terrorists of today bear no resemblance to the patriots of the American Revolution. Their goals are negative—destruction and oppression. They have no regard for human life. A free society in which both men and women are participants and considered equal is anathema to them. They are users and takers. Their followers are offered a place in heaven in return for the supreme sacrifice of their lives in behalf of the cause. These terrorists abandoned reason for emotion and have no regard for the impact of their dastardly deeds.
If we could meet and speak with these terrorists, what could we do to change their thinking and their destructive bent? We might ask them to discuss their anger and pain. We must seek out the cause(s) of their angst. We might ask them what their aspirations were prior to becoming a terrorist and what motivated them to become a terrorist. We need to understand why they became a terrorist and why they feel that they cannot change.
Our interchange with a terrorist is much like a negotiation, for we must be prepared to listen and to accept criticism, even if misguided. The process of changing a terrorist will be a slow one; years of indoctrination in hate and destruction will cause them to challenge, fear and mistrust our words or deeds. They must see concrete proof of what we say or show them before they will begin to question their beliefs. Some times a significant emotional event may serve as the catalyst for change. Some times a kind word or deed may allow us to open the door to communication and understanding.
In our country, we teach our young that the preservation of our freedom is every one’s responsibility. As young people we learned about our brave colonial ancestors who fought to be free from tyrannical rule of our former mother country. We witnessed first hand the inhumanity of man and the enslavement of others on our shores. Many of us did not willingly treat the members of our diverse culture, including the immigrants from Europe and Asia, with respect nor consider them our equal. We placed the true “Native Americans” in reservations and left them in squalor and discouraged their seeking the benefits of a free society. Yet, for all our mistakes, our nation is one of the few on this planet that offers men and women an opportunity to learn, achieve and be a part of the greatest melting pot known to humanity—America.
As we reflect on our past, we must never forget that freedom requires eternal vigilance. We must be willing to sacrifice to maintain our free society. Others on our planet envy and despise us; they would rather preach and promulgate hate, anger and violence. We must, however, not be afraid to lead by example, for no other nation on this planet ever rebuilt the enemies that it vanquished in battle and no other nation has ever taken the world stage to bring the power of technology and communication to the peoples of our planet. For the first time in the history of man, we can communicate instantly with people thousands of miles from us. We can share our cultures, histories, ideas, and aspirations with one another. No closed or dictatorial society ever achieved or ever will achieve what Americans have.
Freedom requires us to be responsible for our words and deeds and to respect the rights of others. In our modern world this is difficult to do, especially when those around us do not. Men and women both have traditional roles in a family and unique ones in the work place. Maintaining a balance is often difficult to do. But when all is said and done, the care and nurturing of our family unit remains our primary concern.
Let us give thanks to our ancestors and their courage, wisdom and inspiration, for they forged the greatest nation on this planet—The United States of America! Let us remember we have the right to worship God as we choose whether in a church, synagogue or mosque or our home. We have the right to think, create and inspire others to strive to do their best, for we live in a land that remains a beacon of hope and freedom for those oppressed in other lands and cultures. Let us never forget what it means to be an American and be free!

…impeachment…which is only half of the process…requires a majority vote in the House of Representitives. I don't think the President's own party will do that…under any circumstances…and certainly not while he enjoys so much popularity.
Conviction, the other half of the removal process, requires a vote to convict by 2/3 of the Senate. I don't think his own party will be doing that anytime soon.
Frankly, obamabuster, your outrageous accusations regarding our President are becoming quite stale. Teabaggers like you have become the laughing stock of the collapsing Republican Party.

California attorney Orly Taitz, who has taken cases challenging Barack Obama’s eligibility to be president to a number of courts across the nation including the U.S. Supreme Court, says she’ll be returning to the high court, this time seeking a petition for the extraordinary writ of mandamus.
“As Attorney General Eric Holder and U.S. Attorney Jeffery Taylor did not institute Quo Warranto and did not respond, I will go back to SCOTUS,” Taitz announced today on her website.
“As you know, I am being crucified for every little error, so I have sent the draft to a couple of attorneys, paralegals, technical consultants and language consultants, to give me their input and I will file in a few days,” she said.
“Bottom line, I will be filing until I get an answer,” she wrote.
Taitz was the lead attorney earlier representing military officers from the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines when they cited Quo Warranto, a legal right established in British common law nearly 800 years ago and recognized by the U.S. Founding Fathers, to demand documentation that may prove – or disprove – Obama’s eligibility.
The legal phrase essentially means an explanation is being demanded for what authority Obama is using to act as president. An online constitutional resource says Quo Warranto “affords the only judicial remedy for violations of the Constitution by public officials and agents.”
Originally requesting the action were Maj. Gen. Carroll Childers; Lt. Col. Dr. David Earl-Graef; police officer and Selected Reservist Navy Commander Clinton Grimes; Lt. Scott Easterling, now serving on active duty in Iraq; New Hampshire state Rep. Timothy Comerford; Tennessee state Rep. Frank Nicely and others.
“As president-elect, Respondent Obama failed to submit prima facie evidence of his qualifications before January 20, 2009. Election officers failed to challenge, validate or evaluate his qualifications. Relators submit that as president elect, Respondent Obama failed [to] qualify per U.S. CONST. Amend. XX [paragraph] 3,” the document said.
John Eidsmoe, an expert on the U.S. Constitution now working with the Foundation on Moral Law, has told WND the demand is a legitimate course of action.
“She basically is asking, ‘By what authority’ is Obama president,” he told WND at the time the original document was filed. “In other words, ‘I want you to tell me by what authority. I don’t really think you should hold the office.’
“She probably has some very good arguments to make,” Eidsmoe said.
Taitz’ letter was dispatched to Holder and the U.S. attorney, but she has not received a response, she confirmed.
WND has reported on dozens of legal challenges to Obama’s status as a “natural born citizen.” The Constitution, Article 2, Section 1, states, “No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President.”
Some of the lawsuits question whether he was actually born in Hawaii, as he insists. If he was born out of the country, Obama’s American mother, the suits contend, was too young at the time of his birth to confer American citizenship to her son under the law at the time.
Other challenges have focused on Obama’s citizenship through his father, a Kenyan subject to the jurisdiction of the United Kingdom at the time of his birth, thus making him a dual citizen. The cases contend the framers of the Constitution excluded dual citizens from qualifying as natural born.

Several of the cases have involved emergency appeals to the U.S. Supreme Court in which justices have declined even to hear arguments. Among the cases turned down without a hearing at the high court have been petitions by Philip Berg, Cort Wrotnowski, Leo Donofrio and Taitz.
Complicating the situation is Obama’s decision to spend sums estimated in the hundreds of thousands of dollars to avoid releasing a state birth certificate that would put to rest all of the questions.
Taitz’ plaintiffs, some of whom potentially face life-or-death situations in defense of the U.S. Constitution on a daily basis, note that information on Quo Warranto against a federal officer normally is related to the attorney general. But since Holder is an Obama friend and appointee, they asked for the appointment of a special prosecutor to help in presenting documentation to the Supreme Court.
Eidsmoe said it’s clear that Obama has something in the documentation of his history, including his birth certificate, college records and other documents, “he does not want the public to know.”
Obama’s critics warn of the impending constitutional crisis should it be discovered Obama is ineligible and the resulting chaos of trying to figure out what, if any, of his executive branch orders, should be valid.
According to the online Constitution.org resource: “The common law writ of quo warranto has been suppressed at the federal level in the United States, and deprecated at the state level, but remains a right under the Ninth Amendment which was understood and presumed by the Founders, and which affords the only judicial remedy for violations of the Constitution by public officials and agents.”
According to a report at All The News That Fits, lawyers for Obama submitted in a court challenge late in 2008 that “particularly serious embarrassment will result from turning over the requested documentation” in one of the many eligibility challenges that have been filed.
As Jerome Corsi, WND senior staff writer, explained, “The main reason doubts persist regarding Obama’s birth certificate is this question: If an original Hawaii-doctor-generated and Hawaii-hospital-released Obama birth certificate exists, why wouldn’t the senator and his campaign simply order the document released and end the controversy?
“That Obama has not ordered Hawaii officials to release the document,” Corsi writes, “leaves doubts as to whether an authentic Hawaii birth certificate exists for Obama.”
A state official, Hawaiian Health Director Chiyome Fukino, said, “I, and Dr. Alvin Onaka have personally seen and verified that the Hawaii State Department of Health has Sen. Obama’s original birth certificate on record in accordance with state policies and procedures.” But officials have rejected requests for access, saying Obama would have to authorize any access, and left ambiguous its origin: Does the certificate on file with the Department of Health indicate a Hawaii birth or was it generated after the Obama family registered a Kenyan birth in Hawaii?
Obama’s half-sister, Maya Soetoro, has named two different Hawaii hospitals where Obama could have been born. At one point a Kenyan ambassador said Obama’s birth place in Kenya already was recognized and honored.
While an Obama spokesman one time called the allegations “garbage,” the president and his team have withheld other comments.

i agree we should march on washington, in big numbers. at the least we should have tea parties again say around labor day.
I believe the best time to march on Washington DC is Independence Day. I went to the Trenton Florida Tea Party with about 150 other Americans and many express willingness to go. Trenton is the county seat of Gilchrist county. We are a very small rural county but here folks are ready to do whatever it takes.I would much rather drive to DC than march but can you imagine what it would be like for thousands or millions of Americans to show up in front of the Capital or pickett the White House?
If we are to be considered as "Extremists" Why not "Radical Exteremists!" I am not a leader but will do what I can to help organize such an event.

what my husband was attempting to say is that it appears that people have forgotten all of the promises that Obama made when running for office nor the fact that these appear to be all lies as he has not done one thing since getting into office except to bale out banks and other corporations. What about the regular joe and jane doe that are struggling in this current crisis. My husband also was attempting to point out that an example of where our government officials attempt to get things passed that we dont know about is when they take a bill & hide other things within the same bill to get those things passed. the prime example is the stimulas bill in which those voting on it were told to just approve it and dont bother reading the entire thing that this is what it says without allowing those voting to take the time to read the bill in its entireity. as such who was able to get help with this bill was it you or I? No it just helped banks and other coroporations including extra bonuses for the CEO's etc…
Below you will see other comments relating to my message including the following: a letter I wrote to the Illinois States Attorney. Also I have included a case that is pending against Obama from the United States Justice Foundation site. There are other cases pending. My idea is to try to get as many people from the 912 project to write to their state attorney to bring forth cases against Obama. If even half of our state attorneys throughout our country combine efforts to bring cases forth against Obama, this may force him to comply. So far, his lawyers fees pertianing to these cases are about $800,000. We need to try and keep hounding our senator, which i do every other week on this matter, and also maybe get a petition started on the 912 site. Take care. Please pray for our country and ask God to inspire us all as to how we can bring this dilemma to a close and bring back respect and love of our Constitution. Take care.

Below you will see information from the United State Justice Foundation as to one or more of the cases pending regarding Mr. Obama’s eligibility to hold the office of President of the great United States. There are other cases pending, but I am sending you a copy of this particular case to give you an, idea, if you are not already aware of such cases. This is critical, for if the President is truly not a “natural born citizen” then he is not only discrediting and disrespecting our Constitution and each individual citizen of our great land, but he is breaking the law. This would truly be a complete mockery against this whole nation. However, we as citizens are owed proof of Mr. Obama’s citizenship in protecting and defending our Constitution. I am requesting that you as our state’s attorney and one who as talked about moral and ethics within our state and federal government to investigate thoroughly and be honest about your findings, as you have so often preached referring problems within our state. If you reach the opinion that the Mr. Obama is holding out these documents and not presenting said documents to prove his natural born citizenship, then you have the duty to pursue a case against Mr. Obama as a representative of all the citizens of Illinois. The heritage of our country and its forefathers should not be disrespected and of course, our Constitution disregarded with such travesty, if Mr. Obama is not eligible to hold office, every law he signs has no prevalence or credence as a law. Attorney Madigan, you should lead the way by advising every States Attorney representing each individual state of this great land to present a case, if the findings are of such nature. Then, possibly Mr. Obama would not fight the State Attorneys that would comply and present cases, thus respecting our Constitution. I just do not understand why a man who claims he loves our country and was elected President would not in every way want to prove his citizenship. This, to me, he would be so honored to do so. Attorney Madigan, the travesty too, is why he did not present said documents before Jan 20th, when requested? Why did the Congress not demand said documents? What is happening to our country? Every citizen when applying for a job needs to present birth certificate or proof of citizenship. …that's all very interesting…futile…but interesting. Removal of a sitting President requires impeachment by the House of Representitives and conviction by the Senate for high crimes and/or misdemeanors. Neither of those will be happening. The facts are: 1.) President Obama was born in Hawaii and Hawaii has certified his birth certificate, 2.) President Obama enjoys tremendous popularity with the voters and is likely to win re-election in 2012. You can believe anything you wish…but that won't change the facts. Good luck with your attempt to undo a lawful election…your going to need all the luck you can get.
I am not talking impeachment….If these accusations prove to be true…..Mr. Obama is not a natural born citizen, then the election was for naught and he is not legally our President. Therefore, there would have to be, the way I understand it, a new election. Also, Mr. Obama is breaking the Law according to our Constitution. Granted, it would definitely be another hurdle our country would have to mull through, but how can any of us stand by, especially, if you are a member of the 912 project and do nothing to protect our Constitution especially concerning a person who is not legally, according to our Constitution, the President. The Presidency, is the highest office in our land, and surely, we do not want to see it scourged, thus, humiliating our country more so in the process. We the People need to take a stand on this and protect our Constitution, for if the Congress and the President are getting away with such a false hood, do you think they care about any other part of the Constitution not being honored?

I do hope that each and every person involved in the 912 project takes action regarding The protection of the Office of the Presidency, for without that, why would our Representatives care about protecting any of our rights within our treasured Constitution?
I think there certainly is reason to doubt Obama's "natural born" status. I also find it curious that he's, so far, refused to allow anyone to see his college and university work. If he's so "brilliant" most of it should be very enlightening, wouldn't you say? Just as John Kerry was PROBABLY dishonorably discharged from the Navy after 1971 and that's why he's not opened up his military records for scrutiny, even though he promised to do so, Obama apparently has some ugly skeletons in HIS closet too. We deserve to know what they are since they're concerning the background of a man who is turning us as quickly as possible into a fascist state!
