To begin, the so called republican party had lost touch with the expectations of it's conservative constituents and this caused a great deal of distress within the party. Then, the issue of the major media came into play. They used their influences to choose John McCain as the leader in the GOP race for presidency. Why did they choose McCain? That's an easy question to answer. McCain had ran previously in other presidential races and the media had a great deal of ammunition that they could use to break him down once he was chosen as the GOP candidate. There was yet another issue with John McCain. He was so far in bed with the far left that many conservatives had no desire to vote for him. Yes, the major biased media was quite aware of this issue, as well. All through Obama's run for President, he promised change and yet nobody really questioned what that change would involve. Nobody expected him to completely redesign America in his first 100 days in office. America is the last great free nation on the face of this planet and he has managed to steer us towards the direction of complete Government control in these first few days of being President. The good thing here is that there are nearly as many Democrats as Republicans who are quite unhappy with what Barack Obama has done to this country. Perhaps a more fair, easier, and less oppressive way to tax us could be forced on the government. A consumption tax for instance.
