illegal immigrants from receiving Social Security benefits. This bill is even more important today after just receiving the reports that the social security program will be going broke much earlier than expected.
Currently the bill has 23 Cosponsors. All of which are Republicans. A complete list of sponsors can be found here Cosponsors of H.R.2287. Please contact your representatives and request that they also add their names to the list, no matter what their party affiliation. It would be great to see some Democrats names getting added to the list, unless they are afraid they might lose some illegal voters by showing their support for this bill.
It has always been my position to support responsible, legal, and controlled immigration. I have no doubt that should any of the major media chooses to run a report on this bill, that they will want to apply their racial immigrant haters spin to this bill. The facts are that this bill and many others like it are responsible in looking out for the safety and security of America. We are a nation of laws and when people are breaking our laws by crossing over our borders illegally, they have already earned the label of being a law breaker.

Illegal immigrants should absolutely NOT ever be receiving Social Security benefits. I strongly support any bill that would prevent illegal immigrants from enjoying any benefits funded by American tax payers.

Please, everyone, email your representatives and urge them to support this bill. If they won't then do everything you can do to make sure they don't get re-elected next time and to make the remainder of their current term full of controversy!

Finally we have found an issue that we can agree on. It has been well known that a large percentage of liberals and the majority of republicans agree on this issue, yet our politicians seem to find no need to follow our wishes.
This, my friend, is exactly what The 912 Project is all about. Politicians not following the interests of the people who elected them into office. Instead the cater to the special interest groups that pad their pockets.

Every Nation on Earth has the right to control its immigration and its borders. If a Nation loses its ability to control its borders, its national security immediately becomes a problem. I believe all unlawful immigrants should be removed and sent to their home countries. We have no obligation to make our Nation and its benefits available to immigrants who don't even bother to go through proper procedures and obtain a visa which allows us to control who and who we do not choose to allow to live in our Nation. That is our sovereign right, and every other Nation on Earth does the same thing.

1st Amendment Right to Peacefully Assemble and Redress of Grievances :
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."
Perhaps another area we may agree on is the absolute right of the People to peacefully gather and demonstrate anything they wish. Today I found this article titled,

These protesters in this article were praying and peacefully protesting Obama's visit. that is their right. I am shocked at these arrests. These arrests should never have happened and the police should be held accountable to such unconstitutional actions.

It is wonderment to me as to how illegal immigrants can receive Social Security in the first place. Social Security is supposed to be for the citizens of this country. After being born and raised here, I had to prove
with my birth certificate that I was a citizen. How is it that an illegal can qualify for S.S. Something is really rotten and not only in Denmark! It seems to me that the system has been corrupted for years by the politicians and deserves a complete audit and overhaul. Perhaps other countries should take care of their own!

I am 62 years old. I paid into social security all my life. I also received an honorable discharge for serving the United States in the military. When I went to the social security office to apply for social security, I had to wait in line behind a crowd of immigrants. After filling out tons of paperwork, I was informed that since I make a few thousand dollars more than the $14,000.00 maximum annual income allowed by social security, my application for social security payments was denied.
