CMT’s Broken Bridges Series with Toby Keith and Lindsey Haun

Today was another awesome day to fulfill my obligations as a Father. While away at work I had called home to talk to the family and my youngest son had asked me if I would take him fishing when I got home, I promised him that we would go if the weather allowed for it.

This morning I woke up around 5 am to begin a busy day of catching up on the website and the many aspects of everything I am currently

involved in. While working I kept looking outside at the beautiful day and a great opportunity to fulfill the promise I had made to my son. In a few short hours I managed to complete a great deal of work so I would be ready to go fishing when he woke up. I think it was around 10 am when we had everything together and I fired up the ole’ suburban which was loaded with a Father, a son, a dog, and our fishing gear.  At this point my day was committed to going fishing with my son. My son and I got to the lake, baited our hooks, and put the lines in the water and then sat back along side the lake with our lines in the water just waiting for a fish to swim along and bite on our hooks.

As we sat there we watched the families playing on the beach, watched the boats go by filled with families, and even had a couple of neighbors stop down to see what we were up to, after they recognized my truck. Throughout the day my son and I had many great conversations about just about every topic under the sun. We even discussed why I was working so hard on all the things relating to today’s politics and The 912 Project stuff. I explained to him my concerns about his future and the future of America and how I didn’t think our politicians were fulfilling their obligations to uphold the Constitution and even explained to him, once again, why the Constitution was so important to America.

Well, it was around 7 pm when we finally came through the door at home to find my wonderful wife had just finished preparing supper. We sat down and ate supper as a family and then we all sat down to relax, with full bellies, for a few minutes while watching CMT and “Beer for My Horses” starring Toby Keith. By this time I have had a few long days in a row with only a little sleep each day. As you can imagine with a belly full of my wife’s great cooking, another long day, and a good movie playing, I unexpectedly fell asleep in my chair (I enjoy sleeping in my bed too much for me to make a habit of doing this).

I oddly awoke at 1 am to CMT’s series Broken Bridges and a song being sung by Lindsey Haun. The song was titled, “Broken“.  What’s really weird is that I had never seen the show itself but I had woken up to this very song being sung and I just sat there watching her sing while I listened carefully to the lyrics of her song. Obviously the song itself was never meant to be political. However, the lyrics to the song really broke it down as to what is wrong with ALL of America. We are broken into a million pieces. Just the good ole’ Patriotic Conservative Americans and The 912 Project alone are broken into a million pieces. Please think about this serious issue affecting all of us while you listen to Lindsey Haun singing “Broken” in the video below.
