Sonia Sotomayor Doesn’t Have A Leg To Stand On…
….Pun Fully Intended
Do we really want POTUS to dictate this candidate for SCOTUS and vetted through COTUS? America our employees are forsaking us for their own benefits, status, money and power. It is time for all branches of the government to be held accountable to higher standards and reveal their records daily. Take a good hard look at some of those employees and their performance.
If you were the owner/operator/manager of a company, would they be working for you?
Would you really hire them ever or again?
Then why are they working for our country?
Sonia Sotomayor is the beginning of the new challenge and here’s almost everything you will ever need to know about her to decide if she capable of making decisions in accordance to supporting the U.S. Constitution -
1981 – Sonia Sotomayor’s interesting view of capital punishment/racism. Bias? http://judicialnetwork.com/contents/files/Death-Penalty-Report.pdf
1986 – Sonia Sotomayor’s visions of discriminating men dance through her head in this video titled:
“Sotomayer 1986: I Found Men Unconsciously Discriminate Against Women“.
1994 – Sonia Sotomayor’s controversial commentary with the discovery of her speech touting the qualifications of “Wise Latina Woman” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7hOlwnP1H70 Repeated performances occurred in 1999, 2000, 2001, 2003 as researched on HotAir.
FOX News Digs Dirt on Sonia Sotomayor
2005 – Sonia Sotomayor’s comedic (?) commentary on a serious subject in front of Duke University Law School Students. Unprofessional.

2007 – Sonia Sotomayor’s (now disposed) position upon the New Haven White Firefighters http://www.adversity.net/newhavenfd/default.htm and http://www.adversity.net/newhavenfd/appeal-ruling.pdf -Oh this is the way you support your local heroes!
2009 – What’s good for the gander is not to be a questioning goose:
Obama admin. threatens Sotomayor critics
2009 – Sonia Sotomayor Says She “Never Thought About” Rights of Unborn. Well let’s see…. how many times has a mother been declared brain dead and hooked up to life saving equipment to insure as full term a baby as possible? Several that I am aware of. So you don’t throw the “baby out with the bath water.” I would say the unborn has rights, but then I am not a “wise Latina woman” http://www.lifesitenews.com/ldn/2009/jun/09061101.html
2009 – Sonia Sotomayor – Just because you resign, doesn’t end the stigma that you joined and attended. Biased organization hmm? http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2009/06/19/sotomayor-quits-womens-club-gop-questions-affiliation/
2009 – Associate Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court – Sonia Sotomayor – Questionnaire. This will make your head spin http://judiciary.senate.gov/nominations/SupremeCourt/Sotomayor/SoniaSotomayor-Questionnaire.cfm
2009- This year’s proceedings at SCOTUS with respect to the New Haven, CT Firefighters denied justice for 6 years in part due to Sonia Sotomayor’s earlier view http://origin.www.supremecourtus.gov/qp/07-01428qp.pdf and a now Victory, page 1 of 93 states it all http://www.supremecourtus.gov/opinions/08pdf/07-1428.pdf with an engaging and valid SCOTUS.

How will the Liberals progress when scores are the standard and not heritage? hmm? “Sotomayor: Affirmative Action Sent Me to Princeton”
Editor’s Note: This video was added at a later time and considers multiple analysis’ of the Sotomayor nomination and effects of the Supreme Court reversal of her previous decision.
Will Reversal Reverse Sotomayor’s Fortunes?

Running a test to see if system is back to working

I must respectfully disagree with you.
I believe there is no way the Republicans can stop this nomination from being approved. After all, as of today, Senator Al Franken (Who has been declared the winner of the MN senatorial election by the MN State Supreme Court, makes the number of Democrats in the Senate 60. That means the Dems now have a filibuster Proof Senate and the Dems can do anything they want. Republican obstructionism is now dead. It takes 41 votes to sustain a filibuster and the Republicans only have 40 votes. This nomination will easily be confirmed by the Senate.

She must never reach SCOTUS!

Bobby she will be easily confirmed.
It only requires a 51-49 vote for her to be confirmed. The conservative opposition can no longer mount or sustain a filibuster. Thus, the nomination will go to a straight up or down vote…as the Founding Fathers intended.
However, I can empathize with you as now you know how we on the left felt when Bush nominated the ultra-right wing crazy Alito…and as I recall Bush and Frisk, then majority leader in the Senate, were both screaming for a straight up or down vote and Frisk was threating to change Senate Rule 22 (which is the rule that creates the filibuster right). We on our side of the aisle don't have to threaten the "Nuclear Option" as we now have a republican filibuster-free Senate.
She will be confirmed easily.

Well Bobbie,
I don't think any of that will matter since both of those sources are owned by neoconservative Rupert Murdock and both are know for being nothing more than mouth pieces for the Republican Party.
As I said before, the Republicans do not have enough votes to filibuster and this nomination will go to a straight up or down vote. In the end her nomination will be easily confirmed by a 51% or greater majority.

Hey bobbie can you count?
40 Republicans, 60 Democrats in the Senate.
The Senate is now free of any possibility of Republican obstructionism…get used to it!

Mess?
Wow you neocons really do have a different view of reality…a bizarre view…and really different.

With 9 out of 10 of her decisions being overturned in higher court decisions, it is obvious that she does not make her decisions in accordance with the Constitution. Rather, she makes her decisions based on her personal beliefs mixed with politics.
As long as the judge makes decisions by the Constitution without their own interpretation, I don't care who the judge is that gets nominated for the position.

When i think about how this country is going, I want to believe in reality that there are people that are put into office with the same concerns,as most of us have. Whether it be a president, a congressman, senator, or judge. When i hear, and see the results of some of these people we vote into office,it becomes sickning. If i understand right, if this woman is placed in the highest court in the land, she will be there until she decides to reitre. Unlike the men/ women that we as a nation vote for. We vote them in and we can vote them out, but those that sit on the supreme court can be sitting there as long as it suits them. I do not think there is an age limit. How can they decide a ruling without using some of their views? If they went straight be the constitution we the people would not have nearly as much to worry about.. I think she is wrong for the job, but i have no decision in the matter.

Interpreting the Constitution is the job of the Justices….that is what they are supposed to do.

What I want to know is was Bush aware that Dick Cheney had an assassination squad that reported only to him? and when did he know it?
http://rawstory.com/08/news/2009/07/10/lawmaker-w...

News across, I do not know who to trust. It is getting so out of hand. Whether the person is qualified for the job does not matter anymore from where i sit. Our founding fathers may be looked up to, but when History is told accurately, even then there were problems. Is Dick Cheney guilty ? Did bush know ? Or was bush aware of an assassination squad?. After we learned of how close we were during the Missiles crisis,it is a wonder this country has weathered the storms our government has put freedom, and this country,s people though. Always deceit, cover-ups, and the list goes on. American people just want our Government to be responsible, not only with the taxpayers money, but stop lying when they get into a fix. As i have learned, each president, senators, and congressman will have secrets that will be leaked to the people after the fact. I guess it is the old words that is often hit. "WHAt WE DO NOT KNOW, WONT HURT US. We are not stupid people, but common sense goes a long way.

Well it certainly looks like the questioning of our New Justice…oops…I mean nominee…is going very, very, very well. She certainly has charmed those Senators.
Of course the Democrats have the 60 votes they need to take this to a simple up or down vote, so I suspect this will all go rather quickly and we will have this wonderful new Justice to sit on our Supreme Court. A filibuster proof Senate is far more efficient and effective.
