The 912 Project Travels Down the Highways of America with Great Pride
ByThe word about The 912 Project is spreading across America in many new and innovative ways as Americans begin to wake up and realize what is happening to their great country as political leaders from all parties seem to be tearing down the liberties provided to us by our brave Forefathers.
Truck drivers, ADW and his wife Tina, have been so inspired by The 912 Project that they spent approximately $6,000 on custom vinyl 912 related graphics being added to their Kenworth semi truck. Truck drivers have had a long history of having a high level of patriotism and this husband and wife team are two such patriots. I spent some time getting to know the couple and listened to ADW as he shared his concerns over what has been happening to our country for many years now. Like so many tea party and 912 project patriots, they have heard the calling to get more involved to fight against the destruction of the U.S. Constitution and all it has done to build the greatest nation on Earth.
When I asked ADW how he got involved, he stated, “I fell in love with the idea of bringing back the feelings that people had on 9-12.”
He continued with, “We are doing this for the project and it’s not about us or the truck, it’s about the project itself and the many great people behind it.”
From the couples support and devotion for The 912 Project came the beginning of talks with a Graphics Design friend of theirs, Brian, who owns, Today’s Graphics, Inc. The two parties spent approximately 3 weeks talking back and forth about the design specifics that would soon be added to the truck. A design was soon agreed upon by the professional husband and wife team and the project was scheduled to be installed on their big rig. Once started, the team at Today’s Graphics, Inc. spent two twelve hour days just printing the 1200 sq. ft. of vinyl for the vinyl wrap that would create the rolling 912 Project Truck. It then took two workers a labor intensive seven, twelve hour days just to install the graphics onto the truck. This would help to explain the approximate $6,000 spent on the
massive project, which was finished on July 15, 2009. The final result is a traveling 912 Project Truck billboard that is owned and operated by two American patriots who have taken enough pride in their country to make it their mission to help spread the word about the U.S. Constitution and The 912 Project.
Not long after this design was finished, ADW make a short trip to Tampa, FL and was asked to pull over twice during the short journey just so people could take a closer look at the design. Being proud of the end design, he was more than happy to take a few moments to pull over so people could check it out. Since then, the two professional truck drivers have made it a point to encourage people, who support the idea, to sign a specified area of the truck while they visit truck stops, their company’s terminals, and Walmart stores along the I-70, I-40, I-20, and I-10 routes. Everywhere they go, The 912 Project Truck draws a crowd, which
provides them the opportunity to share the ideas behind the 912 project and to hand out a variety of reading materials. ADW told me they have spent around $2500 on pocket constitutions which are purchased from National Center for Constitutional Studies, a variety of informative printed material, and they even make buy a few of Glenn Beck’s Common Sense books from time to time that they will sign before handing out to interested people with instructions to read, sign, and then hand the book to someone else with instructions to do the same.
A note from their blog, “912 Project Truck“, reads,
On the way here yesterday, from L.A., we stopped in Kingman, AZ for fuel, where the driver next to me at the fuel island, a nice young lady, asked if she could take a picture of the truck. She said at first, when she got out of her truck she just ignored ours but then after reading the “912 mission statement” and the rest of the 9 principles and 12 values, she got very excited about what we were doing and the message we were spreading and had to have a picture. She took some pics with her phone and then video taped the whole thing with a flip video. I asked her if she wanted to sign the side of the truck and advised her that she would have to submit to a pic for this site if she signed, she agreed and signed while I took a pic.
After stopping at the Kenworth dealer in Atlanta, GA they wrote,
While we were standing around waiting, several people approached the truck and were looking around, pointing at different features, and talking
with one another. So, doing my citizen duty, and doing what was meant to be done when we had the truck wrapped in this manner, I walked over and started talking with several of them. They all agreed that we definitely have a bloated, inefficient, overbearing, verging on tyrannical government and that something needed to be done. I explained the 912 project and the mission of America’s Alarm Clock, I handed out a ton of reading materials and information about the project and the Taxpayer Revolt in D.C. on 9/12/09.
After reading this article, please take a few minutes to visit their traveling diary and read some of the notes they make about their travels across America. I would like to point out one particular article that appears to be a bizarre incident in which they were pulled over by a New Mexico State Police officer while traveling through the state. You can find that article at: A Very Trying Weekend…And Monday Too!!

From my interview with him, it sounded like he still had plans of going. I'm not sure, but think they will need a special permit to get within certain areas close to the Capitol area if this is what they are hoping to do.

I would suggest talking to one of your companies agents to see if they might have some information. Another idea would be to talk to organizers of the 912 DC event itself to see if they might be able to help you with it. I'll be doing some checking on my end to see what I can come up with.

I have contacted Freedom Works, they seem, shall I say, less than interested in helping with a close parking spot or a place to display the truck prominently. I do have some other irons in the fire, so to speak, but please let me know what you can come up with as well. Thanks again for all you jelp and support sir. I truly appreciate all you have done and continue to do.

Thanks for the compliments DeWayne, We are truly humbled by the fact that we have been blessed so abundantly with such a mission or project. The surface is actually done in vinyl though, as opposed to paint. It is composed of about 1200 sq ft of vinyl.
