I understand there is to be a “universal” or “national” roll-out via a “Presidential-Speak” through all K-12 schools on September the 8th:

When you interfere with me or mine, and impose your will or views that I totally oppose, then I can place you on ignore. I do not respect “that one” who has usurped the office of the Presidency and I do not intend to position my children in harm’s way. I consider the man and his performance. I view him no better than a destroyer of life, liberty, and happiness. I will not put my child in a forced event that will add nothing to the building of their character or enhance their academics.
He needs an audience on a regular basis to boost his ego, I will not provide my children, as tools.

“Just Say No!”
I bet there’s a Pony ride at the park, instead of the “Dog and Pony” show on parade September the 8th.

I am a disabled stay at home mother of two. I have always made it a point to vote but have never been active in any political activities including protest! I have decided to make a petition to oppose Obama’s speech in my son’s school. I plan on sitting somewhere outside of the school property with signs and a petition to get parents who agree with me a voice. I do not want to keep my child from attending school on September 8th, but I DO want to have the right to other options for this speech as well as the activities prior to the speech. Even if I have to take my child out of school for the hour of this, it is my right to do so. I would hope we have the choice to allow our children an extra hour of a different school activity instead of an absence. Please join with me and do this for your children as well!! Thank God. My two are grown and work for a living. I will never forget the day my son came home and announced how evil milk products are. His grandfather being a dairy farmer and working for a processor, I advised the teacher that maybe in my house we like milk, for a lot of reasons. The schools need to concentrate on teaching them to think critically, not be used as NEA patsies for the union payback.
Stop the centralized intrusion into our lives.

My twins are seniors. I have been counting down for years for this. They started with so much unbelievable promise and now they are above average. Perhaps this doesn't sound so terrible to you!! (I'm even underplaying this and it's not because I am biased.) This is where most students will end up.. Right about average. The schools have been so incredibly disappointing. I can get very emotional thinking about this.
Take your kids out.
If anyone wants to help kids let us decide where to send them to school and have schools compete for students.
Obama addressing all students sounds like more control of his agenda and he is addressing our impressionable children.
Now I'm at the position of deciding which liberal school to spend 100s of 1000s on.

Mine decided not to go to college. Both are working and have lives etc.. They didn't have to listen to and be berated by some jackass prof. who knows all. It is unbelievable how far left the colleges are. And most of the founders were people of faith. Likely they could power most colleges with kinetic energy from the bodies spinning in their graves.
Nobody can figure out that true education and knowledge is just that , and is presented as such period. Opinions of the teachers/staff and anyone else needs to be checked at the damn door.
I do not get to impose my views on a fellow employee. How in the hell does the education system think I have to pay them for the privilege to tell me and mine what is what? You're right, when the subject of vouchers for school choice comes up, the fairy tales begin to fly, coutesy of the NEA.

Tracy, don't jump to conclusions on this. Many schools are not taking part in this propaganda attempt. Please check with your school before keeping your children home on Tuesday and don't be afraid to speak your peace on this issue.

Great info! Thank you for reporting this. Our small rural school system, at last report, is not taking part in this either. They told me that they will concentrate on educating the children instead.

Directly from our District's Assistant Superintendent: "Due to bandwidth issues, our district will not be viewing Obama's speech on September 8. We will record this and it will be available for check out."

Riddle me this? If it is soooooooo great when the liberal agenda is the main course, WHY is there such a mass of people who are moving into the local area, south central and southeastern PA? I thought being taxed and regulated to death made one feel safer and more comfortable. Frankly I wish they would go back. Their agenda is leaching, and now PA is on the fasttrack to join NJ and the rest of the flat broke northeastern states. And that is stu_pid.
