Republican Governors Association Tele-Briefing on Health Care

By Bobbi85710

RGA - Republican Governor's Association

The Republican Governors Association just held a tele-briefing on Health Care, September 10, 2009. Erick Erickson of Red State moderated the approximately 1 1/2 hour call with over 12,000 participants. The governors tackled many key issues of the moment that affect all Americans and our future. They answered on the fly questions with no difficulty. The Governors have been listening and they want to help. They are also a model of promptness. Whenever they have held an event, they have the good manners and respect for constituents, to begin at the appointed time.

There are 39 Governors up for election/re-election over the next 14 months. Now they don’t brag on themselves but I will. I have observed that they were the very first government officials to stand up in the best interest of “We the People” and against the spoon-fed directives from the current administration (Remember when the stimulus money was refused & by who?). I also remember that a certain Governor Palin stepped down in the best interest of Alaska.

I know the “Big 3″ Branches of Government appear to be going in circles after circles. There is always a whole lot of talk but no real or constructive action. Maybe if they listened to “We the People” they would find direction. “Listening Town Halls” were an agitation and not a relief to the American People. Repetition of Bullet Points of the Democratic agenda on Health Care across the country in cookie cutter speeches ala the administration fooled no one but the Democrats who aped them. The 4th Branch of Government (Grand Jury) and some of the Governors http://www.rga.org/ have been more precise and decisive with progress, initiative and response. The Republican Governors Association can also lay claim to transparency. That is something DC and the “Big 3″ Branches of Government are sorely lacking.
