Before attacks on 9-11

When our Government used to remember 9-11 with a solemn, respectful and reverent review.

It was all day long on September 11, 2001. It was felt, after the shock wore off, on September 12, 2001. This reaction of the American people on 9-12 is where the true meaning of “The 912 Project” came from . On September 13, 2001 and beyond it was mourned and investigated. It led to Guantanamo Bay (Gitmo) Cuba and incarcerated detainees or “Enemy Combatants”. Excellent!

Under the Bush Administration on each September 11th we mourned and remembered our fellow Americans. “We the People” reacted similarly as the generation before had reacted to Pearl Harbor. (This coming together of Americans, is one of the originating inspirations for “The 912 Project” by Glenn Beck and his talented staff.) Both events killed multitudes of unsuspecting citizens and both still have families and friends with memories of those lost.

So here we are now with a new administration in 2009 and thankfully we are still the United States of America. “Enemy Combatants” are being freed, moved around for new trials, and more-with a lackadaisical and haphazard hand with enormous expenditures upon the taxpayers. A terrorist is a terrorist. They are committed to dying for their cause. Jail time served does not make them “think right”. There is no major respectful event detailed by the administration and in fact POTUS signed into law back in April that changed September 11th to “National Day of Service”. Why POTUS? Did we mourn too long? My parents still mourn December 7th, 1941 and I bet there are still many in Hawaii that do as well. September 11, 2009 becomes another cloaking of the administration upon its professed transparency. POTUS you can’t hide this day, it happened!

Thank you for your comments and respect. Those who respond negatively to this site should read your article and think deeply about the disrespect they show the victims of 9/11 and our soldiers who lose their lives daily for our freedom. Waterboarding may be considered torture by some, but consider those who jumped from the burning towers in New York or those who were burned to death by the very terrorist who was waterboarded. Consider those who lost a loved one and the torture they live through every day. I will NEVER forget 9/11. Those of us who are 912ers will NEVER FORGET OR GIVE UP fighting for America and our Constitution. God Bless America and God Bless those who are going to Washington. I will be hitting my knees in prayer and hope that those who read this will be doing the same.

Doing the RIGHT thing always turns out. It will be a while but it will turn out OK.
For years people smuggled literature and worked in fear in other countries. It may come to that here with the kind of thinly veiled threats we see today.
