Lobbying for Chicago Olympics Causes the Uncovering of a Trail of Corruption
ByThe past few days have been filled with a great deal of controversy as a trail of corruption is unveiled over the President’s trip to Copenhagen to lobby for his favorite city of Chicago to host the Olympics.
The trip was headed up by Michelle Obama and Oprah Winfrey who took a plane to begin their lobbying campaign prior to the President’s arrival. You may recall that candidate Barack Obama made many promises of transparency as he ran for the highest office in the Nation. The people of Chicago and the people of the United States would like to see the transparency behind his bid for the 2016 Olympic games to come to Chicago. Or maybe he would like to expose exactly what his Senior White House adviser, Valerie Jarrett, stands to gain from her ties to him and her connections to having been the President and CEO of The Habitat Company.
Grove Parc neglect
Michelle Malkin explained how one of the public-private partnerships, the Grove Parc Plaza Apartments, were apparently ran into the ground under Jarrett’s watch. Isn’t it funny how these same apartments are scheduled for demolition after years of neglect by these developer buddies of Obama’s. I’m sure it is just a coincidence that Grove Parc sits in the shadows of the proposed Olympic stadium.
Are these government officials preying on the very people who helped to put them into office?
Would it be safe to say that this issue of bringing the Olympics to Chicago is more about continuing to pad the pockets of those involved in this entangled web of Chicago Style corruption, than for any other reason?
Glenn Beck did a great job of helping to bring all the points together, on his FOX News show on the nights of 9-30-09 and 10-01-09, where he connected the dots as several branches of his administration all have a close working relationship and how the only transparencies we will see from this administration, are the transparencies of the many patriots who continue to expose this deep seated web of corruption that is far greater than anyone would ever have imagined.

Before I close on this article, I’d like to say that Oprah Winfrey has been worshiped by many Americans over the years and her lowering herself to a point of falling into this entangled web is something she should be ashamed of. I don’t think it would be wrong for people to write her and ask her why she has lowered her standards so much? Or has she? I would hope that we aren’t seeing the true Oprah Winfrey exposing herself while being so closely involved with people that prey on the very people she portrays herself to so dearly care for. This is no laughing matter. There are lives at stake and these lives are being destroyed for the gains of a few apparently corrupt individuals.

The country is laughing at you guys. Falling for the publicity stunts conducted by propagandists such as Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity. Those guys prey on your emotions rather than providing anyone with logical, workable solutions to the real challenges this country faces. Don't you remember 9/12? True enough, the country felt real solidarity that day against a common enemy. But out of the emotional response to 9/12 didn't come solutions – what came rather, was an unjustified war that has cost thousands more American lives than the 9/11 attacks did.
Glenn Beck has been successful at capitalizing upon some of the undercurrents that run in American society and using them to attack a regime that hasn't even been in office long enough to gauge the fruits of its policies – although those fruits have so far led to the slowing down of the recession, as well as America restoring its dignity in the face of the rest of the world. But make no mistake, Beck will not succeed in standing in the way of what this administration came to do. The true majority will see to that. You know – the ones that won the election.
True, these guys don't have all the solutions and that's for the rest of us to put together.
As for your attempt at taking the high ground over the recent election, it was the INDEPENDENTS that swung it in your favor and polls across the country consistently show that group is no longer with you.
BO ran on tax cuts for the middle class, not socializing everything he could get his hands on. The fact that McCain was only slightly less despised by many also helped your side.
I voted for Bush twice and in hindsight wished I'd watched things more closely. Just like you will when you realize the current pres is really "Bush, Jr" with better marketing.
You make mention of Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity being propagandists and yet they spend a great deal of time backing up their statements with proof. Is it just breed into you and your friends to just disbelieve everything that is put in front of you even if it is put out in clear video, or statements taken directly from the individual?
If we want to chase down the true propagandists, why don't we go looking at the ABC, MSNBC, and a number of others who have been busted on numerous occasions as they have produced nothing short of propaganda.
I think someone spiked the Kool Aid and you had better back away before you dive into that nasty blackout mode.

Grabbing my ankles to hand over money to illegals, ill thought out bloated programs, and flooding the white house staff with the 7 dwarfs hardly brings to mind workable solutions to real challenges.
Stealing tax dollars for the coffers of the union thugs and those whose real desire is to bog down this country in debt and legaleze is hardly really helpful. And refusing troops for commanders in the field with tough work ahead while we go willy nilly with Oprah is hardly the "good work of the kingdom".

I didn't mean to be rude & I appreciate you guys replying reasonably. For the record, I watch Glenn Beck nearly daily, just to see what sort of tangential relationship he will try to exploit for the day.

Now, on Acorn. They have no place in the current administration. Faux News's demonization of this organization is a prime example of the type of propaganda I am talking about. True enough, they seem to have at least had some bad apples, or, at worst, perhaps they are indeed corrupt from the core. But even in this worst-case scenario, what is the significance of their corruption to current events, or to the challenges at hand? None, since the Senate has already voted to strip them of the tax dollars they had been receiving. The only reason Faux continues to perpetuate this story is to #1 try to get back at them for helping Obama win the election and #2 try to insinuate corruption within the administration itself by implying direct ties to the White House. Now, the way they are trying to do this, is by repeating the clip where Obama states that they will have a place at the table in his White House. What they don't mention, is that Obama also said this to the Republicans, and to everyone else, for that matter. That's one thing you have to give him – he has at least made an attempt to bring EVERYONE to the table. The fact that he also made such a statement to a community organization group that went out and registered voters, by no means implies they have any say-so within the administration. But Faux, being the PROPAGANDISTS they are, cannot resist the temptation to repeat the clip endlessly and try to pervert the meaning behind the inclusion that Obama has tried to extend to *everyone* – political rivals and community organization groups alike.
This is just one example, and I'm not going to go on forever. I'll just say that Faux is not a news organization so much as a propaganda machine, and Glenn Beck should be ashamed of himself for trying to pimp 911 to continue to divide the country with his rhetoric – especially when Beck himself admitted that he was beginning to "hate" the 9/11 families for airing their grievances publicly:

Now, if he has so little sympathy for the families of the victims themselves, then who is he on TV having a nervous breakdown over every afternoon? Or, "his country." Not the people themselves, but an abstract collective. Please. Beck is an actor and a clown, and I think he is doing a disservice to his country for his personal ratings gains, and at the expense of much energy that could be better served trying to build a consensual partnership to help take out these very real obstacles.
We have a good, intelligent president that is trying to do the right thing, and I wish you guys would abandon these opportunist propagandists, and get on board with the rest of us.

I can't go on and defend a serious judgment error that Glenn made some time back. I'm sure you have made errors as have I. Glenn is an entertainer and admits to being one. There are a great number of Americans doing research and uncovering a large number of the documents being exposed on his show along with the help of a high quality staff that works hard to expose the facts.
I have no doubt that the President is a very intelligent person. Along with that intelligence comes a highly questionable history and factual involvement with individuals who have no interest in the bettering of the greatest Country on Earth. These are facts that are well documented with an ugly entangled web of corruption. They really have no interest in bettering your life. This is what we are trying to expose to you and many other Americans. People have been starving for this type of news coverage that bases it's news on factual information instead of a fabricated news coverage that we see on so many MSM services.

The information uncovered in Oklahoma clearly shows the ill intentions of the organization as the organizations own computers revealed. Still need more proof? Just let us know because there is plenty of proof available.

The fact is that the neighborhood is what it is because the people cannot afford a fancy apartment, condo, or house in the suburbs. If their homes are torn down, where will these oppressed people move to? If you take a serious look at the documentation you will find that the only real reasons these places are ran down is because of the neglect by individuals who ran The Habitat Company.
Isn't it funny how Mrs. Jarrett can be standing there in the picture with the President while people are probably still sleeping in homes that most likely have serious health issues? I've driven through many of these areas and these photos are not exaggerated.

First off, if you guys read my message above, I never said that Acorn "doesn't mean any harm," or is an "innocent organization." While I certainly don't believe all their members are inherently evil, what I said was that even IF there is some underlying corruption going on within, this really has no relevance to the workings of the Obama administration, or to the real challenges this nation is facing at the moment. It is simply a tactic being used by certain media outlets, particularly Faux News, to try to insinuate guilt of the administration by association – which is a classic propagandist technique. If this story was truly being reported on according to its relevance, then it would have been resolved as soon as the Senate voted to cut off their federal funding. The fact that Faux News continues to perpetuate this story after the problem has been resolved, is an indicator that their concern for the story is not so much the tax dollars, now cut off, being sent towards a corrupt organization, as much as them taking advantage of an opportunity to oversensationalize the story for political reasons.

In Vietnam, we explicitly followed the lead of the generals on the ground, and ended up regretting it. As the commander-in-chief of the military, it is ultimately Obama's decisions as to how many, and when, troops will be deployed. Lord knows the conservatives will hold him accountable, so I think the man has the right to make his own decisions as it pertains to the military strategy. True enough, McChrystal is on the ground – but this is precisely what handicaps him in making an assessment of the larger situation. In fact, there are many military experts that disagree completely, saying that an markedly increased military presence will only further inflame anti-American sentiment in the region, rather than help to win the "hearts and minds" of the Afghans.
Marc C., "get on board with the rest of us" was by no means an invitation to join a cult, but I'm glad you said that, because it leads to my last point. Now I don't agree with everything Barack Obama has done in his first nine months as President – but I certainly don't disagree with everything either. And I mean, EVERYTHING. That's the thing – the way you guys are portrayed in the media, and certainly the way you are represented by clowns such as Beck and Hannity – is not of a group looking to debate worthy but contrasting ideas, or one looking to build consensus around points of agreement that both sides share. It's something different, and something not at all constructive. When you start to disagree with *everything*, it begins to lend at least the appearance, that the disagreement is not about the policies, not about the ideas, but about the person.
I applaud you for taking a stand, no matter whether we agree or not. I am one who strongly supports individual ideas and mindsets.
However, please don't use liberal talking points when trying to make points. From viewing your writings, I would assume it to be same to say that you are an intelligent person. With intelligence, comes the ability to think for yourself. On this site, my writers and I, have chosen to write about a large variety of topics for this very reason.
The workings of the Obamas, and those around them, have a long history that has left much to be uncovered with much of it already having been uncovered. The only time he cuts ties with organizations or individuals is when it appears that his political popularity is sliding. This is not just limited to the President. This is an issue with most politicians. These are facts.
As to the comments on the 9/11 families. Once again, I am not going to defend these comments, even though if you listen closely, he states that it is only about 10 of them. As with everything there is always bound to be a few bad apples and I'm sure you find 10 of the families that were using the tragic events to sensationalize their losses. If you really do think on your own, just think about what I said very carefully.
Then you go on to post a video about the FEMA camps. Come on! This proves that you don't watch Beck at all. His staff researched them because of the number of requests he was receiving to do so. Can you tell me what his results were on whether his team found the camps to exist? It just proves yet again, that it is only a liberal talking point that was taken out of context to make a completely invalid point.
Moving on. BO appointed McChrystal to the position and the General put in a request over a month ago. Since BO's appointing him, he had only spoken to the General one time. ONE TIME! This should show you how little interest he has with what is going on with conflicts in Afghanistan. It wasn't until late this last week that he actually decided he would spend a whole half hour with the General, only after his little concern was pointed out my certain media outlets.
Your last paragraph calls Beck and Hannity clowns and yet your own video link has a perfect example of how clowns can take something entirely out of context to make completely invalid points. Which, I'm sure we can agree, is done by those on both sides of the fence.
