		<description>Well, hold on here.  I believe what he&#039;s saying is true, AND I agree with it.  Although the NEA DOES have creative ideas, although they DO have positions with great merit, although they DO care about children deeply and although they DO have a vision of a great public school for every child, that is NOT what makes them powerful.  

It is highly unfortunate but indeed true that to be powerful in this country it takes more than being on the side of right, with ethics, character, education, science, etc. to back you.  To be powerful in this country, you need $....OODLES of it.....at least until our political lobbying system changes and drastic campaign finance reform is implemented.  

Right-minded people and groups need just as much money, if not more, to get their voices heard.  And, it saddens me.  But, your website does nothing to sway my opinion.   Once again, I&#039;m merely looking at a sound byte that twists the truth and is meant to enrage.

What made the unions powerful when they were mainly looking after the safety of workers?  Was it because they were christened by some power to be on the side of all that is good?  No!  It was numbers and the associated union dues that got them a seat at the all-powerful table.</description>
