Bachmann, King, and Price Urging You to Make a House Call on Congress
ByRepresentatives Michele Bachmann, Steve King, and Tom Price are urging American citizens to make a “House Call on Congress”, this Thursday November 5, 2009.
Since you, the American Citizens, had such a dramatic impact during the Town Hall meetings, you are asked to come out once again and take this stand with these representatives who are fighting against the liberal hijacking of our American health care. You have seen and heard about the many anti-American details included in Nancy Pelosi’s montrous 1900+ page bill that is currently being proposed to take over your free health care needs.
Michele Bachmann states:
“The American people need to stand up again and make sure that Congress hears them this time. Speaker Pelosi is putting her bill on fast track to a vote – and it remains to be seen if the House will even get a chance to vote on the commonsense Republican alternatives. The people need to make a House Call on Washington this week and tell their Representatives to vote no to a government take-over of one-fifth of our economy. This is gangster government at its worst.
Steve King speaks out against the liberal “crown jewel”:
“For liberals, this legislation is the crown jewel of their socialist agenda,” King said. “It will place bureaucrats between patients and doctors, fund abortion with taxpayer dollars, raise taxes on small business owners and make millions of Americans reliant on the government for health services that should be personal and private. The damage this bill will do is irreversible, and we must do all we can to kill it. We need you to fill the streets in Washington and oppose the Pelosi health care bill.”

I believe one house call was made on Tuesday. Mr O needs to "incline his ear" to us little folk. It will only get louder.

I really wish I could make it there this Thursday. Times are tough here in this small San Francisco house. I take care if my 94 year old grandmother and I myself suffer from nerve damage in my back and am on a sort of "Socialized" health care through the county and I know what its like to have to wait months at a time to have a test done (MRI, CT scan, EMG and even physical therapy), plus the Dr's all try to tell me how I feel, instead of me telling them how I feel. Also, after my grandmother turned 90, Kaiser ( her preferred HMO), stopped sending her regular physical appointment slips which they have always done up until then. Her family has a history of living to a rip old age and it amazes me to know all she's lived through. Born during WW1, Great Depression (I guess the original one in her case),Prohibition,Pearl Harbor,WW2,Korean War,Vietnam War, Assassinations of both Kennedy's & Martin Luther King Jr., Jimmy Carter (joke)and 9/11. I would hate to lose her because of government cutbacks to Medi-Care. You can't buy those memories and for her age she is totally coherent. The government should not be the judges in the lives of the elderly, especially a government as reckless as the current people in the White House. Sorry this was so long but I get irked when I think about what is happening to Our Country. To end this I have a question if anyone could answer it for me ; For awhile now I have been wanting to "demonstrate" in front of Nancy Pelosi's house but needed a little more than just "because I want to" but this health care issue not only scares me but it angers me to think that as my grandmother's benefits get taken from her, some illegal is picking up health benefits just for being illegal. How do I go about getting a few people together (who will hopefully tell a few more people and so on) to stand in front of Pelosi's house to let her know how we feel in her own city ? Do i wait until she takes a break from her "duties" in the White House or do it even if she's not home? Do I need to let the city know beforehand ? Hell, I'll even do it when she gets voted out in 2010 ! Thanks in advance. Marc.
