Archive for December, 2009

For several days I’ve been debating how to approach a New Year’s Eve article and finally it popped into my head this morning. I decided to go with a brief 2009 year in review of the tea party and 912 movement and throw out an idea of naming the New Year, 2010, as “The Year of The Patriot”.

We all know 2009 was a sad year and can safely be labeled “The Year of the Liberal” as they had a stronghold in the House and the Senate as they supported a Liberal President’s agendas. The one thing they never expected, was the uprising of the U.S. citizens as people from all party affiliations came together hand in hand and rose up against a government filled with lies, deception, and a great deal of deep seated corruption. The reason I’m not calling 2009 “The Year of The Patriot”, is because the movement consisted largely of passionate rallies and events with no formal organization or real solutions yet put in place. While many legislators and opponents want to believe the grass roots movement has lost it’s momentum, that thought couldn’t be further from the truth. In fact, there is a great deal of organizing and planning taking place during these frigid winter months. As we begin to better organize the movement, we will indeed see the New Year, 2010, as “The Year of The Patriot”.

Year of Patriot

Let’s sum up some of the important events that took place throughout 2009:

A little known fact is that the events actually started with a Tea Party event held on February 27, 2009 in Atlanta, Georgia. The positive results of the first modern day tea party event helped to spawn the Tea Party movement which quickly exploded into the building of a national movement that produced a national ‘Tax Day Tea Party” event held on the official tax day of the United States, April 15, 2009. With little time and a strong lack of main stream media coverage, the event was to be attended by millions of grass roots patriots from all across the nation. As news of the success of this event spread, Tea Party Groups and 912 Groups, filled with patriots of all colors, party affiliations, and ages, began to pop up all across the nation.

This movement was quick to be labeled by main stream media as a Republican based event, while Republicans were quick to want to use this movement to build support for their party.  Truth be known, the uprising involved Democrats, Republicans, and Independents who have seen all parties as having lost touch with the idea of “We The People”. It’s base was formed around the general disconnect seen as lawmakers refuse to listen to the will of the majority of the people and wrongly chose to cater to special interest groups (lobbyists) and a small group of loud and often bile speaking Liberals who have nothing but the interest of destroying the freedoms and liberties provided to the citizens of the United States by something known as the United States Constitution.

The next major event came along on Independence Day, July 4th, when citizens came together again and held a nationwide rally to show their anger with an out of control governmental body. This was followed by Town Hall meetings where citizens tried to inform their legislators of their failures by choosing to not read the contents of the bills they were signing into law. This brought on a loud outcry of “Read The Bill” with strong regards to the contents of the proposed health care bill being pushed through Congress and the Senate. What was more shocking than anything else, was lawmakers complete disregard for their constituents and their desire to avoid them at any cost. Some chose to hold town hall meetings via phone conferencing systems, while others chose to stay as far away from their districts as possible and hold no town hall meetings.

The next major event took place on September 12, 2009. It was known as the 9-12 March on DC. This event was attended by bus loads of grass roots patriots from all across the United States. What’s different about this event compared to liberal protests, is the patriots usually paid for their own bus tickets and hotel accommodations instead of some large organization footing the bill. Although there were a number of regional events being held simultaneously, the D.C. event was attended by numbers being officially estimated (by aerial photography) at around two million. These numbers were quick to be downplayed by a number of liberal bloggers and main stream media sources as attendance only being estimated around 60 – 70 thousand.

One event that was spawned, from the blatant lies and failed news reporting by main stream media sources, was the “Operation Can You Hear Us Now” event that caught on and grew like wild fire. This event brought patriots out to the offices of their local main stream media outlets, with signs to show their anger with the failed reporting we have seen by a number of companies who are suppose to be reporting the news instead of a twisted liberal agenda filled with lies to sell the general public on a twisted agenda that hates the United States Constitution and the freedoms and liberties provided by it.

Coming to a city near you in 2010:

While many other events will be popping up, the next major planned event will once again be held on the official U.S. tax day, April 15, 2010. It appears that many tea party groups are beginning to align their Tax Day Tea Party event with the concept of “The American Tax Revolt 2010 Nationwide Tax Revolt Tea Party“.

As this movement continues to grow, there are many interesting ideas and concepts coming forth of how to resolve the issues presented to the American people by an out of control government. One of the best solutions I’ve seen so far is summed up in it’s title, “Bring Home The Politicians“, with the basic principle of putting politicians offices right back in their districts where they will be expected to spend at least 75% of their time. Another key advantage to this seems to be the added costs incurred by special interest groups, because they would be forced to spend a great deal more to apply their lobbying efforts as they travel from district to district to try and influence lawmakers with the needs of their supporting cause. I have yet to find any negative to the overall concept involved at, Bring Home The Politicians.

The 912 Project Fan Site would like to take this opportunity to wish ALL of you a Happy and Prosperous New Year!

A Sleeping Giant Has Awakened

The following is a well written letter that I was asked to share with our readers.

A Sleeping Giant Has Awakened

By George Benham

The left wing of our society is at a loss as to what is happening at these town hall meetings. They are trying to dismiss them as “astro-turf radical right wing mobsters” organized by the Republican Party. While there are a lot of Republicans there, there are also a lot of Democrats and Independents too. We label ourselves as Americans; as angry with the Republicans as we are with the Democrats.

I am reminded of a saying from the movie “Dantes Peak” in which Pierce Brosnan was trying to convince his people the seriousness of an imminent volcanic eruption. He said

“If you put a frog into cold water and slowly warm it up, it will set there and boil to death. If you put it in hot water it will jump out.”

The silent majority of Americans represents the “frog in cold water.” We have allowed our freedoms to slowly erode for the last 90 years or so while we stayed silent. In 1782 the Congress of the United States voted this resolution: “The Congress of the United States recommends and approves the Holy Bible in all schools.

In recent times we have allowed a few atheistic people to complain about religion in our schools. Our federal courts have mis-interpreted our Constitution and stricken prayer and all forms of religion from all schools. The “water” has not got hot enough to get our attention. We stay asleep.

We have allowed a continual attack on the 2nd and 10th Amendments to our Constitution and while we don’t like it, we stay silent. Had Congress continued on the same path of eroding our Constitutional rights we would probably sat there silent and “be boiled to death”.

Then along came Obama and his socialist-Marxist ideology, destroying capitalism, raising our national debt 1 trillion dollars and counting, trying to push

universal health care down our throats, taking over our banking system, taking over our automobile industry and attacking anyone who apposed him. We have become the “frog put in hot water.” The “water” is too hot, we jumped out. We re-educated ourselves on the Constitution and finally realize we have set silent and allowed Congress and our federal courts to remove some of our basic rights to freedom. In 1775 John Adams said in a letter to Abigail Adams, “But a Constitution of Government once changed from freedom, can never be restored. Liberty, once lost, is lost forever.”

A sleeping giant has awakened. The anger you are seeing at the town hall meetings is about cramming socialized medicine down our throats, but in my opinion the anger goes much deeper than that. We are also angry at ourselves for allowing our freedoms to slip away from us.

They can call us what ever they want to, we will be silent no longer. We will do what ever it takes to regain our freedoms. Our States rights will be restored. Capitalism will be restored. We will not allow these injustices any longer.

We will take Congress to task and remove all Senators and Representatives we need to in order to re-gain our Constitutional rights we have lost.

Oh my, are we to believe that real documents got leaked by TSA and were commented on by the newest real unbiased news medium (outside of FOX news) of blogger journalists?

Wait a minute Liberals, you can’t have a convenient real release of secret documents under such a sturdy and reliable Department of Homeland Security (insert rolling of eyes here) under such a transparent and protective administration (again insert rolling of eyes here)? That would be like a real event of leaked documents regarding staged and leaning Liberal bias on a Climate study aka Climategate, hmm?

Now the question in many minds must be at this crucial junction, why are foxes all minding the hen houses? Or are they posted there intentionally?

Another in a series of Gate Revelations!

So, what happens when the U.S. had prior knowledge of an Al Qaeda planned terrorist plot being planned with the use of a Nigerian? It is now being made apparent they will do nothing.

It is now being announced the U.S. intelligence had prior knowledge of a terror plot prior to the Christmas attack. A Yemen branch of Al Qaeda was heard talking about a Nigerian being prepared for a terrorist attack and yet nothing was done with this information.

With the hundreds of billions being spent to keep America safe, why would reports like this be ignored? To top it off, why would Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab be ignored when getting aboard the Northwest Airlines flight, when he had no luggage? Once again common sense would tell most of us, with knowledge of a planned terrorist attack or not, that any individual getting aboard an international flight without luggage, would be enough suspicion to justify a close thorough inspection of his person.

According to the New York Times, a senior official told the Times that President Obama was told in a private meeting Tuesday while vacationing in Hawaii that the government had a variety of information in its possession before the failed terrorist attack on a Detroit-bound flight last week that would have been a clear warning sign had it been shared among intelligence agencies.

A CIA spokesman confirmed the report Tuesday, saying:

“We learned of Abdulmutallab in November, when his father came to the U.S. embassy in Nigeria and sought help in finding him. We did not have his name before then.”

“This agency, like others in our government, is reviewing all data to which it had access, not just what we ourselves may have collected, to determine if more could have been done to stop Abdulmutallab.”

The President said, a warning to authorities from Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab’s father in Nigeria, should have landed him on a no-fly list well before he boarded the Northwest Airlines flight in Amsterdam.

President Obama also said,

“The warning signs would have triggered red flags and the suspect would have never been allowed to board that plane for America. A systemic failure has occurred, and I consider that totally unacceptable.”

Now that our President has had his moment of awakening, what will his administration do to make sure the Department of Homeland Security will do it’s job of making sure the left hand is properly communicating with the right hand so intelligence can come together to properly protect the United States and it’s citizens? Maybe, the government’s lack of time to properly connect the dots, has a direct relation to their focus on investigating individuals in the grass roots uprising of patriots opposing a great number of this administration’s proposed policies.

If a government, who’s Constitutional obligation is to protect it’s citizenry, can’t properly handle this one important duty, what makes people believe the same government can properly provide them with health care? It should be quite obvious they are far too big to properly sort through their own bureaucratic red tape to be efficient at much of anything.

The 41st Senator Vote rides on a Conservative Massachusetts vote. You can also look at it as the “Break the Liberal Agenda Ramrod” that the Senate has been riding high on. It’s no wonder they have tried to rush all their goodies, paybacks, and payoffs through. The Liberal Senators know their days as a collective are coming to a close. Massachusetts can continue the process of renewing the Conservative values of these United States of America by disabling the U.S. Senate’s stranglehold on us. How can this be achieved? Tea Party Members with Independents, Conservatives, Oathkeepers, Liberatarians, 912ers, and many other groups and individual Americans can get behind Senate candidate, Scott Brown, if they feel he meets their expectations.

Scott Brown is currently a State Senator for Massachusetts, whose values are openly displayed (real transparency, not the artificially spouted type that usually comes with “hope and change” moronic mantras) on his campaign site.

Scott Brown also opposed that huge “Free For All”

Free for All… welfare car game in Massachusetts. Wow… now that’s integrity expecting citizens to work through problems on their own and not spoon feeding them by the state or country. It’s also nice to see a real person with a sense of humor and not a pumping, thumping, Liberal lie, I mean line.

Yes, those Kennedy days have come to a close, but bad legislation residue remains. Obviously the current crop of Massachusetts legislators do not hear their constituents, nor respond. They had every opportunity and yet they refused.

Now 2010 and beyond will refresh the dead pool. Take a look at Scott Brown and see if you think he is the right solution for you to begin your 2010 Revolution!!!

Yesterday, I watched as some news networks spent a great deal of time concentrating their terrorism debates on the issues of profiling and political correctness.

I noticed this while flipping back and forth between FOX News and CNN. I was surprised to find CNN providing a better than normal balance on this issue. Could it be that maybe those on the left are seeing both of these issues as issues needing to be addressed and possibly needing to be thrown to the side? I think so. As with so many major issues affecting us, it seems the ones creating the biggest uproar are just a small population. Even though there are few of them raising a stink about issues, these few scream, yell, sue, and intimidate until they get their way.

This brings me to some of the more important issues around profiling and the bowing to political correctness. We have permitted our legal system to be taken over by attorneys and judges with liberal agendas, who are biting at the bit to use their positions to make law and influence the way the legal system views profiling and political correctness issues. While a number of people focus on the issues with the Senate and the House, they have failed to see that some of our biggest issues lie within the United States legal system.

While I do applaud the news networks for addressing the profiling and politically correct issues, they do need to go after and address the common sense causes to allowing terrorists to get away with dry runs and the testing of our security techniques. Perhaps an obvious dry run should be viewed the same way as an attempted robbery. If the kettle is black, then a dry run is an attempted terrorist attack.

These are just some of my thoughts on this critical issue. What are yours?
