Obama Links Panty-Bomber to Al-Qaeda as US Offers Terrorist a “Deal”?

Let me get this straight:  It took our President almost two weeks after an attempt to blow 300 innocent Americans out of the sky on our most sacred holiday to link the suspected Panty-Bomber to the largest terror network in the world, Al-Qaeda?  Does this strike anyone else as a little strange?  Strange like the President’s seeming lack of concern for the families of the fallen Fort Hood soldiers when it took him two minutes worth of campaign “shout-outs” before addressing the worst massacre ever on a US Military base.  The man sometimes seems more automaton than human.

White House Counterterrorism Advisor

Add to my disbelief the news that the White House “Counterrorism Advisor”, John Brennan, has announced that they are working out a “deal” with the al-Qaida supported panty-bomber.  What?  Since when do suspected terrorists have more rights than the people they tried to kill?  How do we know that we can trust anything this wanna-be martyr has to tell us?  This is like the bribe weak parents give to their errant children: “Please, kid, be good and don’t slash mommy’s couch with that steak knife!  If you don’t, I’ll give you some candy!” Yeah, that always works!  Or how about the millions of dollars we are sending to Yemen for counter-terrorism efforts there?  They’ve shown that they’re so trustworthy. Not! We’ve never had any corruption or lost money by sending millions of dollars into a country known to harbor terrorists, or have we?  Does anyone remember what has happened in both Afghanistan and Pakistan with US counter-terrorism dollars?  Do we even have the money to funnel into yet another mid-east country that has never actually been that friendly to us in the first place? I don’t think so.

Are we offering a plea deal to the man who attempted to murder 300 innocent civilians because we can no longer waterboard him for the same information that we’re offering a deal to get?  If so, who removed our ability to waterboard?  That would be the same administration who can’t come right out and say, “America, once again we’ve been attacked.”  Fortunately, we had some great people on board the flight who thought quickly and restrained the man who wanted to blow himself and 300 passengers up on a plane.  This is another reminder, like Fort Hood and other recent terrorism attempts or thwarted plots, that we are still at war with Al-Qaeda.”  Our President is showing weakness by giving Gitmo detainees civilian trials in NYC,  giving a non-American citizen who attempted to eunuch himself while killing 300 people, a lawyer and a plea-deal, by agreeing to remove our missile system from Eastern Europe, and finally, by pussy-footing around Iran instead of slapping sanctions on that country for their refusal to quit their nuclear-arms program.

Is this the work of an incompetent President blundering his way around foreign policy or something more insidious?  When I look at the weakened state our country is in, put there financially by Congress and its excesses (beginning with G W Bush) and security-wise (brought about by an administration who believes that terrorists deserve more rights than regular Americans), I have a hard time believing that this is just inexperience at work.  Obama has surrounded himself with people who don’t necessarily like capitalism or the way America is now.  Congress is absolutely corrupt and on a major-spending and power-grabbing spree.  Can we actually believe that none of this has been planned for years?  That people with nefarious intentions for America haven’t been planning and waiting for the perfect storm to erupt in DC to make America into something the Founding Fathers never envisioned?

If this administration really does love America, where is Secretary of State Hilary Clinton?  Has she been stuffed into the same White House closet where Joe Biden is gagged and hidden? Is that why we’ve not heard from either of them about any of the above-issues?  Has DC lost its collective mind?

We will continue to be attacked by these, as Obama and others in his administration have called them, “Rogue Terrorists”, until Obama shows that America will not be passive.  That America will not continue to apologize for defending itself against the terrorists.  That if you choose to attack America and you happen to be incompetent and live through your own attack, that you will wish you had succeeded and died because you will be severely punished as an enemy of the United States of America.

Does Obama have the guts to stand up for America? Or is the problem not a lack of courage, but something far worse than anyone would imagine?
