Copenhagen Summit Becomes “Biggest Party of The Year”
ByNews is now coming out about a little known party that took place at the Copenhagen Summit with your money.
A number of democrats used your money to hold the “Biggest Party of The Year”, as stated by Senator Inhofe.
Attending the Copenhagen party were, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, and Charles Rangel. As you can imagine, this wouldn’t have been a party without a few of their friends. 17 of their colleagues joined them at the event: Democrats: Waxman, Miller, Markey, Gordon, Levin, Butterfield, Cleaver, Giffords, Blumenauer, DeGette, Inslee, Ryan, and even a few Republicans: Barton, Upton, Sullivan, Blackburn, Sensenbrenner, and Moore Capito.
Add to that, senators and staff, most of whom flew commercial, and it was reported that at least 101 Congress-related attendees joined the previously mentioned group.
Because required filings have not yet been made, the following is a list is only an estimate of what it might have cost you the taxpayer for the “Biggest Party of The Year”, as mentioned by CBS News.
- Three military jets at $9,900 per hour – $168,000 just in flight time. Dozens flew commercial at up to $2,000 each.
- 321 hotel nights booked – the bulk at Copenhagen’s five-star Marriott.
- Meals add tens of thousands more.
The numbers will be disclosed soon enough and I ‘m sure none of us will be happy with the amount of money wasted for a Summit that has already been proven to be taking place on a fraudulently created issue.
I don’t see anything wrong with a presence at the event. Preferably to oppose the Global Warming lies. What I do oppose is the wasteful disregard for the U.S. taxpayer’s dollars at a time when the U.S. is borrowing and printing money like there is no tomorrow.
There you have it folks! It wasn’t only Democrats out there wasting away your hard earned money, a number of Republicans joined right in with them while many others made the trip on their own accord.
