Cartoon: Islamic Community Center Gets the Go Ahead by New York Officials
ByWith the New York Islamic Community Center receiving approval by New York City leaders yesterday, even though it’s a slap in the face to all who dealt with the tragedies of 9/11, I felt this cartoon, by Rob Smith, Jr., would be a fitting item for this morning. Although it is not too popular, I have to agree they do have a First Amendment right to express their religious beliefs. Is this the real issue though? I say not. I see it as another attempt to use our Constitution against us by planning to build this so close to ground zero.
I’ll let you be the judge for yourself, but just for the record I say not just no, but “HELL NO”!
Thank you to Rob’s Right for being gracious and providing another political humor cartoon to The 912 Project Fan Site.

My objection to the center is yes, too close to ground zero, the investors are questionable, and lets not forget, there is a church still waiting to be rebuilt.
America must take care of America first!
