The Reality of Government Healthcare Legislation
Posted by: | CommentsMany arguments are being made by regular Americans who are either in support or opposition to current proposed health-care legislation. The simple fact is that the subject is the federal government. Those in support of the federal government enacting health-care reform will explain that a specific measure in a proposed health-care plan would provide correction for a former (historical) government-initiated benefit.
That previous government-initiated benefit that is being referred to is Medicare. Medicare was enacted, by a majority of the vote of course, in 1968. During the years from 1968 to 2009, many hard-working, intelligent people paid into this program expecting to receive the benefits they are entitled to. In that time frame, most people would never look forward to the date that taxes had to be filed. In America, land of the free, that date is April 15th of every year. Mid-spring, the season most people enjoy the most. Employment rose and fell during those years since 1968. The federal government was and is always concerned with employment. Not because people needed the work, but because our government needed the taxes from those who worked. Our federal government only needs taxes to provide for civil duties and the defence of the nation.
Ben Franklin, whom most Americans believe to be a very intelligent historical person of conviction (truth), testified in the British Parliament in 1766. His testimony is very revealing. His words, stated plainly, from so long ago still resound in the hearts and minds of all Americans. The Stamp Act was the first direct tax on the American colonies by Great Britain and preceded the American Revolution. Given the historical perspective of the human condition of Americans (the colonists as they were called then) over 200 years ago and the testimony Ben Franklin presented, is it no wonder that the current administration is simply ignoring the American people?
Americans, when thinking of their own lives, know that history does repeat itself when lessons are not learned. Americans, those who believe in the fundamental
right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness as provided by the simple, understandable words of our Constitution, know that the current federal government has invaded every aspect of our lives as a society. Too many Americans, however, are just now learning how deeply our government has entrenched itself in the lives of free people. Those Americans, who work very hard for the little monetary gains they receive, are realizing this current administration is truly discussing the last right we have as free people; the right to life.
Our lives are not an item such as a stamp. A stamp is representative of a duty that must be paid to a federal government, regardless of how that government intends to provide for all people. Life is not a stamp. Yet the national debate between ordinary people has become an issue as to who will receive the benefits, and how those benefits will be funded and then distributed. Too many Americans have been focused on facts and statistics that have been presented by the current administrators of our federal government. Those Americans are ignoring reality. Reality is clear in the stories of those whom Medicare allowed to die, or Medicare ignored their needs.
There are too many Americans who use the caveat that they are speaking “for the greater good”. They are dismissing these stories as just being personal experience. Personal experience therefore, is of no consequence in this debate unless it serves the ideological intention – this time, it’s a Democratically-led administration. Personal experience is being paraded by that ideology, yet a true American with personal experience is dismissed as invalid.
Other important aspects, while healthcare reform is being debated are also ignored. America is bleeding money and hasn’t stopped the flow. This bleeding began when Medicare was enacted. Many people did benefit, but many people died. Government statistics will never present that data to the American people. The bleeding continued, over decades and became profuse when the TARP legislation was passed. While healthcare reform is being debated, our money is being spent to help a little minnow reach the ocean simply to die. The ruling that allowed that was as recent as April 2009 when the Supreme Court ruled that the EPA could use cost-benefits-analysis when setting regulations regarding our environment. It was this ruling that directly led to the shut-off of the water to the San Joaquin valley.
There is certainly much more evidence regarding the federal government ignorance of reality. Our government has not been a government “by the people, for the people” in decades. The most severe impact historically was the enactment of the personal income tax in 1866. While for a noble effort, this tax was never allowed to “sunset”. Instead, it was made legal by an Amendment in 1913.
It should be evident to any clear-thinking, hard-working American that any government managed healthcare reform will fail. It will fail regardless of personal income or wealth. It will fail regardless of political ideological tendencies whether Democratic, Republican or Independent. It will fail the very people it is intended to help. The federal government, whether Democratic or Republican, has blinded itself to its own faults. Our governments only focus, from the time our government began to tax people on their hard work (their very time and energy), has been to fairly distribute that time to all Americans.
How then, in 2009, does any American truly believe that the federal government has the solution to any problem the federal government created, whether historically, for current times or for the future?
Shocking confessions of a President caught on video.
A Look at America’s Future
Posted by: | CommentsThere is so much discussion about current events. The events that are happening that people know will be affecting their lives at every level of life. The actual outcome for people is being ignored, but also dismissed by those who simply have good intentions. It is one thing for our federal government to be passionate about ideology, yet ideology must adhere to reason and justice. Americans know in their hearts and minds that we are not intended to be a nation of law and order. Law and order, without legislation, is the true principle that allows America to be a free nation. It must be asked then, are Americans really free in 2009 AD, or is our freedom simply a perception? This is more the problem than what is currently being discussed.
Americans always look back at history to determine where we have been as a people. Those who are taught and learn real history; the dates when an event occurred, the people involved in those events and the event itself, are Americans with Common Sense, human emotion and human instinct. We recognize real history. Even when we read history, we know the difference between fact and opinion when there are multiple recordings of the historical event. American History
is created the moment a time passes, thus we designate between history by knowing what is ancient, medieval, modern and finally current history (that which happens in our lifetimes).
Based on all the legislation that is currently being promoted as well as voted upon, no one is referencing real history, but continually focusing on the here and now with the hopes it will resolve the perceived economic disaster that is being called a crisis. It is apparent that those that have been placed in our government to represent us are very short-sighted and believe completely that free people need the legislation they continue to promote and expect that it will pass. What if it does pass? Do free people believe the future our government is promoting and envisioning for all Americans, but also those who are simply here illegally? The answer is a resounding NO.
Yet, if all these laws are enacted upon free people, what could possibly happen? To know this, we only have to look to our current history. Medicare was enacted in 1968 amid much turmoil in our nation. Martin Luther King (the person involved) was one of the greatest humans to have walked on this planet, yet he also knew he was simply that, a human being. In 1963 (the date) he spoke of the injustice man places on fellow man. His speech that day was the event. In his speech, he said “that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character”. Americans have read his speech, heard his speech and believe in the words spoken by another man who believed in America. He was also a Christian man. These are the facts we have learned from our history and facts can always be believed.
Once Medicare was enacted, the government shouldered the responsibility that all free people must have to remain free. The ability to care for their own bodies, no matter the expense. When any monetary value is placed on life, then no life has value. The inevitable outcome of the Medicare legislation is now current. Many people spoke of this day when Medicare was discussed before passed into law, yet no one wants to harm those who are now older and are relying on Medicare for their medical concerns. Yet Medicare is failing and has failed. Can the concept that government can now provide healthcare (the means to manage our physical bodies) truly be expanded for all Americans?
That day Martin Luther King spoke of is here and Americans know this. Far too many clear-thinking, hard-working free people know that as a nation we are not bothered by the color of any persons’ skin, but only the content of their character. That is one point that can be agreed upon by truly free people. Even our President has said as much. Yet, he also believes wholeheartedly that America IS a nation of law and order!
Even now, those who believe in the President, and the federal government, have been proverbially placing their own woes at its feet. No government, even ours, can ever legislate morality and values. Justice is based on those principles alone. Justice is blind, so how can any law apply to free people who believe in justice? America was founded on the principles delivered to us by historical record – The Bible that contains the Ten Commandments, the Constitution that states simply we have the inherent right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Those words are not simply read, they also speak to us. This is the power of the written word when read by free people. The words are not just words on a page.
As Americans, we do not want what is being forced upon us. Our sense of justice is being ignored for the purpose of “the greater good”. If all this legislation passes and is enacted into law, violent anarchy will reign. This is inevitable when history is used to support that statement. Americans will not allow violence to overcome all that we as a nation have worked hard for, sacrificed for, lost our sons and daughters for. These sacrifices were based in freedom, not monetary or financial gains. If we the people know this, how did our government assume that in 2009 AD, it now must act and act quickly? That it believes it must act to reform healthcare, to prevent global-warming, to negotiate with those who believe we are the infidels? We always face the worst that can happen, even when it is death, the final outcome of life. I believe that America will always be America. Freedom is America and we believe in freedom with all our hearts, minds and souls, regardless of what is passed into law today. Freedom is hope and that can never be taken away. No matter what is enacted into law today, Americas’ future is still bright and promising because Americans know what freedom is.
With the Threat of H1N1, Are Americans Really Free?
Posted by: | CommentsAn interview given by a healthcare worker from New York was presented on the Fox News Channel by Shepard Smith during his daily Studio B program (9/29/2009). The woman was a nurse who had been in the medical field for many, many years.
The interview was conducted to address her issue with a law that is proposed and may pass in the state of New York. This law was drafted with the intention of protecting those people who may or may not encounter or who may or may not, contract the H1N1 influenza virus. The nurse is adamantly opposed to being forced to have any substance injected into her body, especially if mandated by the government. Additionally, she is threatened with the loss of employment if this law is passed and she refuses to have this substance injected into her body.
Her concerns were due to the fact that historically, our federal government has assumed the role of intending to provide good health to all the people that live in America. Far too many times, with all good intentions, the concerns of the individuals have been dismissed for “the greater good”. This was evident with the mass immunizations that took place in the 1970s for the Hong Kong influenza virus and many people suffered from the effects of the immunization. In fact, it created an illness called Guillan-Barr Syndrome.
http://www.thenewamerican.com/index.php/history/world/1875-a-brief-history-of-government-immunizations
Statistics do reveal that influenza viruses mutate constantly and have been a sickness that humanity has dealt with for centuries. What the statistics never cover are the conditions of the environment around people. From the time we are children, we are taught to drink lots of water, be clean, and to eat the proper foods. These facts alone prevent more illnesses than any immunization could cure, regardless of close proximity to other people – unless they are not living within those teachings of cleanliness. This manner of living is also the best prevention in the event a person does contract this virus. The questions cannot be answered as to the quality of the water, the cleanliness of the patient and the true health of those people who lived in 1918 during the Spanish Flu epidemic. We only have historical data resulting in statistics which are of course, only simple facts. How can it then be assumed that in 2009, we must act and act quickly to inhibit H1N1s’ impact on people in America? If insanity is commonly referred to as “doing the same thing over and over, expecting different results” then what is our government actually doing when it is expecting to pass a law to require individuals to inject an unknown chemical into their bodies?
Shepard Smiths’ manner of thinking which was also spoken aloud is exactly the mind-set that has inhibited the freedoms of all Americans. This thought process considers the impact to the greater good and by its own logic, removes the importance of the individual to think for the individual. This manner of thinking has impacted our public water supplies, our education system, our defence of America, American values and now, it is entering our very homes. How?
When information is presented, it is up to the recipient to decide what valid information is or what simply opinion is. Shepard Smith spoke from opinion. His opinion supported “the greater good” even though he is expected to only present information. The healthcare worker was simply presenting the information as she knew it as an individual. She is an individual who also works and was trained in assisting those with medical issues. She is someone who has worked with people from all walks of life. She was stating her concerns, concerns that were based in reason, instinct and emotion, to those who need to make up their own minds about the government enacting a law that would require healthcare workers to be immunized if they want to remain employed.
It is obvious to any person who is aware of the threat of the H1N1 “pandemic”. This pandemic has spread around the world, just as the yearly ritual of the various strains of influenza that races around the world does. More people have died over the course of several years from this changing influenza than the H1N1 virus has killed. It is understood that people will get sick, some sicker than others and many may die. That possibility is very real. It was just as real during the 1918 Spanish Flu pandemic. During that time, however, the world had been involved in a war that encompassed the globe. Most people returning to the United States were young men, weary and wounded from battle. Their immune systems were compromised already by this physical and emotional exhaustion. This virus did also kill healthy men, women and children. It is the very nature of influenza. More information about influenza can be found at the following link, and only relays information to the reader. It is up to the person who reads this information to act upon this information. http://www.vaccines.mil/documents/Influenza_pandemic_QA.pdf
Where are those factors now with this recent influenza threat? Could history repeat itself? It is a real possibility. Yet it is becoming expected that all people must consider the threat to the greater good, rather than the threat to their own personal lives. The real threat that exists of injecting a substance, although it is being presented as “safe”, is being completely dismissed. Yet again, even recent history supports the side of logic and reason. Far too many drugs and medicines today have been recalled. These were medicines that were approved by the FDA. The most recent example is the drug called Yaz-Yasmin. The FDA has determined that there is false advertising regarding curing acne and removing PMS symptoms.
What is also stated on in this same article are ALL the risks associated with this drug. This drug was researched, manufactured and then approved for use by the FDA. This drug was also brought to the market much quicker than other drugs have, but not as quickly as the H1N1 influenza vaccine. It is only because of the false advertising claims from the FDA that have driven lawsuits by people who have used this drug. Yet who was it that approved this drug for use? Are the side-effects to the body when using this drug worth the risks associated with this drug? Only the individual can decide that for themselves and should.
It cannot be discounted that we are all consumers and we are all concerned with our health. However, our society has become dependent on relying on experts, although they are experts in their particular fields, who are simply as human as the next person. Scientific data is simply a vast repository of information gathered with the intent of using it for the greater good of humanity. That simply does NOT mean to imply that the results of that scientific research MUST be used for the greater good of society. Scientific knowledge cannot replace common sense, human instinct and human emotion. Scientific knowledge is simply that, scientific knowledge. No government or society can do anything other than present the information, explain the benefits and leave it to the person to decide what choice to make.
When did this choice begin to be made for the greater good and dismiss individual choice?
Democratic Call ‘Em Out Campaign
Posted by: | CommentsThe most recent Democratic Party email campaign is provoking people to call out those they believe are spreading lies and mis-information. The following is an
excerpt from a Democratic Party email to an American:
“As the Republican leader in the U.S. House of Representatives, John Boehner could use his important position to forge honest consensus around reforms that most Americans overwhelmingly support. Sadly, Boehner is choosing to be a leading peddler of health reform lies instead.
When Boehner repeated his claim that reform would result in a government takeover of health care, it was clear he’s been too busy trying to score political points to read the overwhelming evidence — including a post from the non-partisan FactCheck.org — debunking this claim.
And cruelly scaring seniors with lies about benefit cuts, even though his own party voted to gut Medicare? On his side of the aisle, that’s become standard operating procedure.” – “Jen O’Malley Dillon, Democrats.org” democraticparty@democrats.org
The statement below is from www.factcheck.org.
“Boehner/McCotter statement, July 23: Section 1233 of the House-drafted legislation encourages health care providers to provide their Medicare patients with counseling on “the use of artificially administered nutrition and hydration” and other end of life treatments, and may place seniors in situations where they feel pressured to sign end of life directives they would not otherwise sign. This provision may start us down a treacherous path toward government-encouraged euthanasia if enacted into law.” http://www.factcheck.org/2009/07/false-euthanasia-claims/
Congressman Boehner is correct in his statement. Factcheck.org simply made an assumption from Boehner’s statement, when Boehner’s statement is actually true. How is it true? Here’s one very human tragedy that proves Boehner’s statement. It will be dismissed by those who support government run healthcare as “just one of a few”. Or it will also be said that “people will fall through the cracks in any system”. It could also be said to be exactly what Congressman Boehner said, however, it has already happened.
A woman who is very sick calls for an ambulance. The ambulance responds and she is treated after several hours in the emergency room. She returns home, but still feels so bad, she needs more medical care. She is registered into a medical care ward, not a hospital as there is no room. While receiving care, she has been given no antibiotics for her infection, just an oxygen mask. She worsens. Her son is contacted, but he lives in another country and must fly to reach her side. He arrives late in the day on Dec. 18th 2001. He does not have much time as she is slipping away. He tells his mother he loves her and that he is just fine. Once she knows this, she can allow herself to be released from the pain her body is enduring.
Could this happen in America? Could it happen in any country considered part of “the free world”? It can and did. This woman was a British citizen who lived her whole life working hard and believing she would be cared for because she worked hard all of her life. She gave up a large portion of her income while working in England to ensure that her care would be covered when she could no longer work due to physical limitations of aging. When a government must manage the costs of healthcare, it fails because the human factor of emotion is lost in the legislation, no matter what legislation is discussed. The cost of care should never be discussed, yet this is all that Americans are hearing.
What is completely in error by the Democratic Party, the organization and not clear-thinking individuals, is their assumptions that most people are more concerned with the costs, rather than with the care being received by the individual. How did that happen in America? Are most people more concerned with the costs, or could it be that these people in Congress work and stay in a location other than where their constituents can easily reach them?
If any clear-thinking, hard-working American can understand the simple logic behind Congressman Boehners’ statement, regardless of his political party affiliation, how does an organization such as Factcheck.org have the facts so wrong? They present themselves as “a nonpartisan, nonprofit “consumer advocate” for voters that aims to reduce the level of deception and confusion in U.S. politics. We monitor the factual accuracy of what is said by major U.S. political players in the form of TV ads, debates, speeches, interviews and news releases. Our goal is to apply the best practices of both journalism and scholarship, and to increase public knowledge and understanding.” http://www.factcheck.org/about/
If the only people they advocate for are voters and not the consumers they state they do this for, where is the logic behind their facts then? How does any organization that monitors factual accuracy, determine the accuracy behind their statements?
They use, and have fallen prey to circular logic. This type of reasoning uses a premise to argue the premise. Arguments based in that manner are, by very fact, blind trust. It is this very issue that is targeting the American soul and has for decades. Most Americans are aware of this illogical reasoning, yet they have not been able to state explicitly why so much of our news today simply makes no sense. It is simple. It is truly an attack on our logic, but also what we’ve called our way of life.
Liberal Fascism is Here
Posted by: | CommentsEducation… Just the word invokes thoughts of reading, writing, and of course, arithmetic. Not so long ago, children in school would have also included thoughts of play time as well. Now, most children do not exhibit positive enthusiasm when they are informed it’s time for “Back to School”. That enthusiasm is also lacking with the parents, although they stoically push that nagging feeling to the back of their minds and still continue to place their children, their trust, into our public school system.
Liberal Fascism…Sufficient to say, this term has actually been around a very, very long time, but not as the phrase we read today. Jonah Goldberg references that H.G. Wells was the first person in “modern” history to coin that particular phrase. Wells must have struggled with his life growing up. He suffered in pain over a broken leg at the young age of 8 (1874) as well as having parents who could not agree to disagree, being only human and having emotions as we all do. Once his parents were no longer together in life, Wells drifted here and there. A job here, an odd job there, but all of those jobs seem to be a form of manual-skilled labor. Wells, being the thinker he was yearned for an education. But, his education had already begun. He’d learned how to read when he had his broken leg. From that point in his life, he never stopped reading. In fact, his love for reading is what led to the great books he did write. His imaginations, fictions and other musings were based in solid life experiences. His perceptions were developed throughout his life as we all do as human beings.
His words (thoughts) played so well together, they flowed onto the pages. His writings were then read down through generations. Yet, instead of reading the thoughts of a brilliantly self-educated man, his words were no longer taken at face value. They were picked apart, piece by piece in a vain attempt at defining what was being read instead of the simple understanding that words are words. It only takes the human mind to interpret those words. But, the human mind tends to focus more on the meaning of the word, rather than the word itself. This limitation is the sole reason humans have common sense.
Common Sense is the sum of knowledge gained by humanity over long periods of time.
Liberal fascism occurs when a person truly has no education.
Education is simply not just facts, numbers and additional information; it is what the mind does with all that knowledge. Too much knowledge without introspective human thought is total lack of wisdom. Knowledge is only gained when the age of reasoning occurs, but reason only prevails with knowledge. If the two do not balance, we have a lot of people that will speak and reference others writings (thoughts) as having total validity and will live their own lives based on those assumptions. Yet, even those without what we now call education, they tend to live simpler, self-sufficient lives without all the added information that they simply cannot fit in their own lives.
First, we must understand education. Can it be measured by whether a child retains certain dates and times of historic events? Is it how that child learns the method to solve some mathematical equation? Or is it the child learning to apply that knowledge of dates and time when a past event transpired, which then allows that child to understand it in the context of the present? If that is education, then how can we say that we haven’t been failing our young children for a very long time?
My parents, other family members all taught me what a family is, what it means to have friends and to keep those you love in your life. It was my mother, who loved me, that taught me to read before I ever attended 1st grade in a public school back in 1966. From the time I grasped what the written words could tell me, I never looked back at any point in my life and told myself, I’ve failed. Not by my standards, ever.
That is the true quality of a good, solid and well-rounded education. Once those values are taught to children, they will never lose this for the rest of their lives. It never left me, no matter what I was able to do, or not do in my life.
Can these values and knowledge truly be taught in a liberal fascist society? Of course not. That requires a free society that allows its parents to be parents. A free society will be able to exactly pinpoint a fault in the education system. That fault could then be resolved, without legislation that attempts to promote, but fails. If our children are being educated in a free society, how is it that there are more and more children who are truly failing, then falling through the cracks in our society? Liberal fascism?
What is it our children are being taught then through the public school system? Do we want them to gain knowledge that allows us as humans to understand other people, communicate with other people and to discuss the very words we read? Or, do we leave even more of them behind to languish in the environment they live in because well-intentioned people (liberal fascists/progressives) believe they have the solution to poverty? Yes, a good education results in success.
Poverty levels, a governments’ measure of success or failure, have only been increased by our very own government. I’ve lived below “the poverty line” a few times in my life, but never, ever felt like I was in poverty. Did Wells? Lack of adequate finances is simply not poverty. The working poor-class becomes poverty-stricken when there is no hope of overcoming the frustration and despair of living in America without real education. Liberal fascism, anyone?
These principles simply cannot ever be taught by anyone other than family, friends and community. If we must ask that basic question regarding our children’s education, this is the only question that must be asked and answered. The government has made its futile attempts at solutions, but is failing and will continue miserably in its attempts to accomplish those goals. The reason is simple and truthful. The government may be made up of people, but it’s been far too long that it hasn’t been a government by the people, for the people. The liberal fascism that has bubbled below the surface for literally decades is now being revealed. That fact is as true as knowing the air I breathe keeps me alive. Impossible standards now apply since those standards do not address the variance of the individual as they attempt to learn through the current “liberally fascistic” teaching process. The result will be catastrophic. This lack of educated people will actually escalate due in large part to the legislation called “No Child Left Behind”. It’s been made to all sound very good and necessary for America, but values and principles simply cannot be legislated. The birth of liberal fascism begins at some point in any free society and our version of fascism is already getting older.
Jonah Goldberg made this statement recently in response to some of the “Nazi” rhetoric swirling in the media currently. He was referring to liberal fascism:
“That sort of system could seduce Americans into becoming chestless subjects of the State in exchange for bottomless self-gratification and liberation from the necessity of adult decision-making.”
How can any person with common sense and human instinct, not truly understand that liberal fascism has already gained control of the education of our young peoples’ minds?

The Assault on America’s Intelligence
Posted by: Dunroamin | Comments (1)We are intelligent people. We listen to the news reports from the press. People hear news on television broadcasts, cable channels or radio broadcasts. We also read newspapers and magazines. We look at the headlines on the New York Times, or other major papers. Most of us read the first pages, or watch and listen to the top stories. Those top stories are what the editors believe is the most important news for the people. That is the nature of news – information someone else believes is the most important news for the people. Yet, our intelligence is continually assaulted by what we hear and read because our American press has forgotten we are still here. This insult is enhanced further when the Internet, the major mass communication vehicle, is also used by not only the press, but those who believe the press. There is little regard to maintaining the human aspect when words are bereft of human intellect and only presented with human emotions. This is, by it’s very nature, how the Internet operates. It is impersonal by its very nature. Unless the facts can speak for themselves, the meanings of the written words are overcome by the writers who allow their own personal feelings to creep into the articles or dialogues. So what mechanism do we turn to to find out what is taking place in the world around us? People are turning to other people who share common sense, positive human emotions and the human instinct of the search for truthful information, also called knowledge.
A photo taken during the Quincy, IL Tea Party on 9-12-09
Throughout the last several years, even longer, we’ve been receiving more fiction than fact from our press. This is the reason so many news outlets are failing. It is also the reason we no longer pick up the major newspapers in any attempt to read the news stories. We simply want the facts presented to us so that we may form our own, intelligent decision about the information being presented as news that is happening around us. We know what misinformation is and this is misinformation.
At what time in America did this happen when the news is no longer the news, but opinions of the facts being presented as news? It’s been a slow, yet inevitable progression that has finally reached its pinnacle.
Our President made the rounds of the Sunday morning commentary shows. He was on more than 5 different channels, which ones they were really do not matter. Yet he declined an interview with Fox News. Why would he, our President, avoid answering questions by a man, respected by many people, who simply had questions to ask of our President? Could it be that President Obama may realize he isn’t going to convince clear-thinking, logical people that any proposed healthcare reform legislation is unacceptable? It appears he is unwilling to talk to those who pay taxes and are responsible adults. During his Sunday morning interviews, the President mentions the 30-47 million souls whom are either not insured or are underinsured, whether by choice or financial reasons. He tries to explain that it is all due to the rising costs of healthcare. Why are they rising? Would it possibly have anything to do with government legislation that has stifled our free market? Rising costs are due to government control of our wealth, not our taxes. It’s the nature of our economics and no force of government can truly stop that engine. The exception would be the fundamental transformation of our country we call America. Change we are expected to believe in.
We should be spending time with our families and friends, but we can no longer afford the time to devote it wholly to our families. Not when our lives, the lives of our children and the lives of future generations are truly at stake. We are simple, but highly intelligent people. We love and honor our freedom, what little we have left of it. This is what we give ourselves as Americans. No government, not even America, ever gives freedom to its people. Our government, from the time our Founding Fathers wrote our Constitution, has failed its people by slowly eradicating the meaning of the words that are the very basis of our government. This is a living document; however, it’s words live in our hearts, minds and finally, as we have matured as humanity, our instincts. How could this document ever change if we the people haven’t changed in our pursuit of life, liberty and happiness?
