eCongress Panel with Jim Rogers and Mike Gravel Oct. 14th
Posted by: | CommentsAuthor: Michael Norbury
Bring Home The Politicians (eCongress) was started back in June of 2009. Ample help came early on from this site (especially it’s admin) in making important connections that lead to local radio interviews and involvement with rallies across the country. This planted the seeds that grew into mentions of eCongress on Glenn Beck’s Radio Show, Fox News, the American Spectator, and other venues throughout the Winter of 2010.
For those unfamiliar with the concept, eCongress is relocating US Representatives to our Local Districts, US Senators to our State Capitals, and State Representatives & State Senators to our City Halls/Courthouses to securely telecommute for 75% of their terms to increase voter access and reduce lobbyist influence.
Nearly a year and a half later since our initial launch, I’m pleased to announce a major event this upcoming Thursday, October 14th from 12:30-1:30 PST / 3:30-4:30 EST in Santa Monica, California. CNBC Financial Commentator Jim Rogers and Former US Senator of Alaska Mike Gravel will be taking part in a panel discussion on eCongress.
This event is open to the public for those living in the Santa Monica area and for everyone else it will be broadcast live on http://econgressnow.com. Your assistance in spreading the word is essential to its success.
Having these two public figures involved is significant because both have advocated some form of eCongress for years now. Most notable is Jim Rogers who wrote about a broad version of the concept in the Afterword section of his 1994 best seller “Investment Biker.”
Many are surprised to learn that eCongress has gotten a lot closer to becoming a reality than Mr. Rogers’ writings. In 2001 following the September 11th attacks, J.H. Snider of the New America Foundation presented this idea to US Congress as a highly recommended national security upgrade. The idea was put into multiple US House Bills in 2002 drawing bipartisan support, but the effort was eventually dismissed citing Congressmen could not be relied on to show up for votes and committee meetings if allowed to telecommute. This excuse is even more absurd today given the millions of Americans out of work who would have no problem maintaining perfect attendance in the name of a paycheck.
Moving beyond the November election, it’s going to take ideas like this to pull us out of the quagmire. And because eCongress garners support across the political spectrum, this has a better than average shot of coming to fruition in the midst of a deeply polarized nation.
I thank you for your support in the past, the present, and into our future where we will defy expectations and emerge from this uncertainty as a shining example of liberty, freedom, and ingenuity for the rest of the world.
Georgia Bring Home The Politicians Candidate Coalition Formed
Posted by: | CommentsFive Candidates in Georgia’s US House Races across the state are now members of the “Georgia Bring Home The Politicians Coalition” which is the State version of the Nationwide Bring Home The Politicians Candidate Coalition (BHTPCC) that now has over 80 candidates in it’s ranks:
Larry Gause (GA4) http://www.gauseforcongress.com/
Diane Vann (GA8) http://dianevann.com/
Jeremy Jones (GA9) http://www.jonesforus.com/
Jeanne Seaver (GA12) http://seaverforcongress.com/
Michael Frisbee (GA13) http://frisbee2010.com/
The goal of the BHTPCC (also known as “eCongress” or “Decentralization”) is to enact legislation once elected to relocate US Representatives to our Local Districts, US Senators to our State Capitals, and State Representatives and Senators to our City Halls/Courthouses to securely telecommute for no less than 75% of their terms while while they are surrounded by their constituents.
On the Federal Level, Article 1, Section 4 and Article 1, Section 5, Clause 2 & 4 of the US Constitution allow for this while State Constitutions vary on how to go about implementing this plan for their own State Assemblies.

The New Local Order
Posted by: | CommentsMichael Norbury
http://bringhomethepoliticians.com
We’ve been placed on a bullet train headed towards what is coined the “NEW WORLD ORDER.” And therefore, the only option for freedom is to plot a new course towards the “NEW LOCAL ORDER”
This recent Health Bill passage has to seal the deal for those on the fence that our Republic is in need of a major upgrade and not simply a “restoration.”
We are now witnessing one of Tocqueville’s (19th century author of “Democracy in America”) greatest warnings about our system’s power being concentrated into one single authority with citizens “reduced to nothing better than a flock of timid and industrious animals, of which the government is the shepherd.”
There are many good ideas out there, some of which will be showcased Tuesday night, November 10th, 2009 at 7:30pm CST on http://blowoutcongress.com as they hold their online Tea Party.
I will say, that either in addition to or separate to the ideas presented, BRING HOME THE POLITICIANS must be included in the solution to ensure that a new course is plotted immediately.
As long as we continue to play with their ball, on their court, and by their rules, optimistic plans of being able to throw out the current crop of bums with a genuine new batch that will some how not be corrupted or sidelined is a gamble that cannot be taken.
For those who haven’t heard of it, BRING HOME THE POLITICIANS calls for relocating US Representatives & Senators to our State Capitals and State Representatives & Senators to our City Halls/Courthouses to securely telecommute for no less than 75% of their terms while WE SURROUND THEM.
Article 1, Section 4 of the US Constitution allows for this as do many state constitutions with 18 states having the ability to implement this idea through voter ballot initiative bypassing the state legislatures.
Under this LOCALIZED CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC, replacing our current CENTRALIZED form, the crowd of concerned citizens standing outside each Representative & Senators office in Capitals across the county will always trump the influence of an administration or groups like “MoveOn.morgue making last minute phone calls or election threats.
BRING HOME places all State and US Congressmen on permanent August Recess.
And speaking of the Late Summer’s recess, the DNC actually proved this idea works with their own “Health Care War Rooms” which allowed the administration to stay in constant contact by phone, fax, and email with it’s parties US Representatives and Senators while they were in their home districts during the break.

Operation “Can You Hear Us Now” to hit a City Near You
Posted by: | CommentsI have been informed that the next call to action is the “Can You Hear Us Now” operation which was started by a gentleman who calls himself, Thomas Paine (this is not his real name as he wishes to remain unidentified).
I recently received a message from a friend of mine and a contributor, Michael Norbury with Bring Home the Politicians, with the information about this nationwide operation. The idea came about on September 14, a couple of days after the 9/12 DC March, when he heard conversations on a talk show about what was needing to happen next. It was mentioned that the next Tea Party event should take place on the media’s doorstep. This was the inspiration to the idea of the operation “Can You Hear Us Now” which was brought on as a direct result by the main stream media’s unwillingness to provide proper coverage of the events held in Washington over the weekend of September 12th.
It has become well known, amongst patriots, that the MSM bias has failed our nation by failing to provide proper coverage of Tea Party events or the town hall events that took place all across the country. Instead, their coverage was used to downplay the effectiveness of the thousands of people attending all these events all across the country. There have been many issues covered with most of them being directly related to the government’s overall willingness to throw the Constitution aside.
At the Quincy, IL 9/12 Tea Party event, I heard Andrew Breitbart make a strong but true statement about the failures of the MSM. His comment was, “There is no main stream media anymore, YOU ARE THE MAIN STREAM MEDIA!”, as he addressed the many patriots on hand at the event.
At the time I received details of this upcoming event, there are 110 events scheduled (with many more being added daily) to be held at media outlets across the country. CNN in Atlanta, GA is one of the events planned with thousands scheduled to appear, with Chicago planning to hold a large event as well.
The following is a promotional video put together for the event that is to be held on October 17th.

The 9/12 DC Rally has come and gone. It delivered a loud shout of “No More!” and yet “More” keeps on coming.
Protests and rallies are important and they should continue like the Oct 17th “Can You Hear Us Now?” local media protests, but they are not a solution at the end of the day because they only serve as a blip on the screen for a day or two, leaving the energy put into them to slowly fade away.
Efforts need to be more concrete moving forward, put toward advancing particular goals that will have a clear impact on our situation. The PRECINCT STRATEGY ( http://www.newsalbum.com/Read/411463-The-Precinct-Strategy-of-2010/ ) and AUDIT THE FED ( http://www.auditthefed.com/ ) are two worthy causes that come to mind.
Long term, I’m an advocate of BRING HOME THE POLITICIANS which calls for relocating our US Representatives & Senators to our City Halls/Courthouses to securely telecommute for no less than 75% of their terms while WE SURROUND THEM.
Art. 1, Sec. 4 of the US Constitution requires US Congress to meet at least ONCE per year, as do many state constitutions which opens the door for BRING HOME’s implementation.
With the competition between challengers looking to take on incumbent seats in State and US elections next year, BRING HOME is a great way to allow these candidates to show they stand for reform. Of course, this can’t start until January 2010.
In the meantime, I recommend you and your 912 group consider taking part in BRING HOME THE CITY COUNCIL POLITICIANS which is a local version of that calls for City Councils to hold half of their meetings through telecommuting because it’s 1) Cost Effective, 2) Increases Participation by Citizens, 3) Environmentally Friendly, & 4) Serves as a Reality Check that the days of tax & spend are now over.
You can get this started right now in your current city council election or as a citizen initative. Here in Greensboro, NC we’re holding a rally this Saturday (October 3rd) to promote this idea and will have a City Council candidate as a speaker along with seminar on how to implement this is neighboring towns.
And speaking of towns, they are the best place to start this because of the small population which makes collecting the mandatory 20-25% of signatures equal to votes cast in the last municipal election that much easier and even this will be easier than years past because 2009 has seen very low voter turnout across the country for municipal races.
Start passing this in the small towns and encircle the larger cities in a bottom up blitz to counter the current centralization push coming out of the capitols.
You can start today by getting your city or town’s municipal code for the procedures to start implementing this. You’ll find links and resources on our site, Bring Home The Politicians by clicking on your state’s CITY COUNCIL section.
Rain, sleet, and snow can impede turnout for a rally or protest, but citizens pursuing concrete changes to our system of government from the bottom to the top can weather any storm.
The Time has come to Bring Home The Politicians

It certainly hasn’t happened overnight but the first BRING HOME THE POLITICIANS Rally will be held September 12th, 12-2pm in Governmental Plaza in Downtown Greensboro, NC
This is being held in partnership with “Triad Patriots .org“, who have been heavily involved with the tea parties in the NC Triad Area.
The announcement is significant because all rallies moving forward in this area will be in the pursuit of Bring Home The Politicians because it is a solution and not a protest.
The time has passed to simply pan the misguided and troublesome ideas of the other side. The momentum of the moment calls for solutions.
Until this is done, this ship will continue to drift.
