Now I am no economist, banker, or financier but – I do know a major change for the worse when I see one in black and white. The Arkansas Democrat Gazette (Arkansas’s statewide newspaper) has on this Tuesday morning, October the 13th, 2009, 5 full pages (front and back) of foreclosures. The paper itself is only 48 pages! I am a whiz at math though & that’s over 20% of the paper devoted to foreclosures. What is unique about this particular issue, there is only 1 break in the listings as circled in the page layout above. It’s a little comic of Ripley’s Believe It Or Not! That is strange enough, but as you will see below it seems to answer Ripley’s requested exclamation. The titles of the comic facts are “Venom…” , ” Oops! Wrong Way…”, and “You Go… And Go, And Go..”! How appropriate that they accompany this sad volume of listings.

So if you hear the specialists droning on with fanciful speeches that the economy is on the rebound, DON’T YOU BELIEVE IT! For every house, property, business that is in foreclosure – equates directly to loss of employment. This is just a keen observation.

California Central Valley’s Water Crisis, the Delta Smelt, and the American Bread Basket

California's Central Valley - Land of the Free..... Delta Smelt

California's Central Valley - Land of the Free..... Delta Smelt

Well, well, well…. is this the promise to look into the Central Valley and Delta Smelt fiasco? Wow, look at the Administration take swift action…. apparently not! They have a fancy new term “California Bay-Delta Memorandum of Understanding Among Federal Agencies” for looking into a situation and setting a deadline planning date December 1st, 2009. This does not mean anything will yet be accomplished. The valley will still be dry, crops will not be growing, and the residents will still be in dire conditions.

I don’t want to interfere with the prestigious group that has been rounded up to look busy but let’s simplify the whole process. These are immediate steps that can be done within 24 hours:
1) Place the nets
1) Release the water
2) Patrol the nets to rescue any Delta Smelt

This is a step that needs to be initiated immediately:
Use this group to investigate the sales and diversions of water in California (Tip – It’s always been “All About the Money!”) When you find the profiteer, the rest becomes clear. Californians investigate! It’s there and the trail leads to places you would never suspect. Well, maybe you would with the politics of today.

I have seen quite a circle of “fishy” tactics and continue to research this ordeal that was Legislatively orchestrated. This was a Government-Made Crisis and there is plenty of blame to go around.

Looks like Bakersfield is not resting. There is a case pending with oral arguments on the constitutionality of past conflicting reports and conditions today – October 2, 2009.

Amazing that a December “planning” deadline is announced for this special group. This then gives the local electorate ample time to promise the moon through November voting day to sell themselves. The voters and residents will be left holding the “proverbial bag” in December when the water still doesn’t flow. This record is now skipping on repeat since 2007 and no one appears to be budging. It’s not like California is not aware of this ongoing problem. The people are trying to be heard.

Alerts go out for any meeting regarding the water in the California Central Valley. Californians participate!

By the way, has anyone asked about the point of origin with respect to the produce that will be used at World Veg Festival in San Francisco this weekend?

Somebody just get a wrench!

As many people in our country have been surprised at the cost of the Iraq war how could it be possible that Obama can find a way to spend even more money on welfare?  But that is just what he plans to do.  Even though throughout his campaigning he complained about the reckless spending of the Bush administration, and how much it would cost our children in the future.  The entire Iraq war cost $622 Billion and Obama’s welfare spending for this year alone is set to cost us $888 billion.

According to CNS News

“Obama’s spending proposals call for the largest increases in welfare benefits in U.S. history, according to a report by the Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank. This will lead to a spending total of $10.3 trillion over the next decade on various welfare programs. These include cash payments, food, housing, Medicaid and various social services for low-income Americans and those at 200 percent of the poverty level, or $44,000 for a family of four. Among that total, $7.5 trillion will be federal money and $2.8 trillion will be federally mandated state expenditures.”

Welfare Stimulus Spending

Apparently Obama has changed his stance on welfare because in 1997 he opposed welfare.  From a blog on ABC News:

“I am not a defender of the status quo with respect to welfare,” Obama said on the floor of the Illinois state Senate on May 31, 1997. “Having said that, I probably would not have supported the federal legislation, because I think it had some problems.”

Welfare has become a crutch that millions of people now rely on rather than a temporary solution.  Welfare needs to be reformed to be more of a help to a productive member of society, rather than a cost to taxes payer.

The Bigger They Are, The Harder – The Fall – Season

With a good portion of American workers unemployed this fall, there will be greater opportunities to “watch” the administration’s activities. With parse pennies to shop with, that doesn’t keep the masses busy….. hmm? Not a bright move for the Dictator in Charge. Nothing worse than unhappy, miserable, struggling human beings trying to keep a family fully provided for. But when you have over 40 pampered Czars eating up taxpayer dollars on the dole, there will be grumbling. There may be no Christmas, no Hanukkah, no Kwanzaa for the citizens – but it’s all good because the Dictator in Charge cares nothing for them (the holidays or the people).

The pattern is set, back to school shopping season was a bust, and more citizens are laid off day after day. If the Dictator in Charge had open mics for the children who may be in school on September 8th, I wonder how he would react? There would be angry children! I have seen the lack of new “feeling good to be back at school” clothing this year. Don’t you think they know why? They have heard their parents talking about the waste of government spending. They know “Uncle Joe” lost his job due to a downturn and layoff. They know “Grandma” is crying often and repeats that she never thought she would see days like this again as she opens a can of tuna. Now that is “Change” for the worse. Good Job, All Holidays this Season have been *obaminated.

*Totally destroyed, damaged, has been flipped and flopped as to be unrecognizable. Tainted as if targeted by Bogus POTUS for re-organization, adjustment, or rework.

U.S. National Debt and Countdown Clocks Are Out of Sync

They are moving at the wrong speeds in my opinion.

Why can’t this clock slow down?

http://www.usdebtclock.org/

Why can’t this clock speed up?

http://www.obamacountdownwidget.com/

The majority of Americans would like this “Change” now!

However – in 2010, 2012, 2014 and beyond, we can make a difference via the voting booths!

Say didn’t the administration just make a wild play for AARP support of the present Health Care Bill? Wonder how that’s going?

CNN Fact Check on President Obama’s AARP ‘Endorsement’ Statement

I do hope the administration doesn’t begin to back the use of “Purple Shirts” as fashionable wear at political events! It may have an adverse affect in the fashion world! Purple is so campaign (and campy).

Let’s hope no Czars seek to create a problem with advertisers that might create a hardship down the road for them regarding their ad placements.  No, that couldn’t happen in America (wink, wink).
