During our conversation, he was eager to show me a letter he had written to Hearst News Service, immediately following the Helen Thomas interview where she loosely exposed her deep-seated hatred towards Israel and Jews. Although she has since apologized for her statement and resigned from the news service, the email still remains current because of the factual history contained within it’s writings.

The surprise came when Bob was bold enough to make a shocking confession to which he received a standing ovation.

NEA and it’s affiliates are such effective advocates.

Despite what some of us would like to believe,

it is not because of our creative ideas.

It is not because of the merit of our positions.

It is not because we care about children.

And it is not because we have a vision of a great public school for every child.

NEA and its affiliates are effective advocates because we have power.

And we have power because there are more than 3.2 million people who are willing to pay us hundreds of millions of dollars in dues each year because they believe we are the unions that can most effectively represent them.

Chicago Style Politics doesn’t mean Jack across the rest of the country. Chicago Style Speeches don’t scare the rest of the country. Both lose the respect and attention of Americans. Remember Al Capone? He didn’t do well outside his Chicago digs!

However, when children are involved, Chicago Style anything is going to create a revulsion, especially when it is a forced event. The Usurper is not a King, nor Monarch, nor any God and his edicts to be enacted on his whim upon his fantasized subjects will not be tolerated. Our children are not pawns, political tokens or tools. President Obama plans to speak to our children at 12 pm Eastern Standard Time. Schools have already been labeled by many as the Government Halls of Indoctrination. This campaign by the President will just set this label in stone. It is my hope that schools across the country will make a wise choice to not participate in this event.

I understand there is to be a “universal” or “national” roll-out via a “Presidential-Speak” through all K-12 schools on September the 8th:

When you interfere with me or mine, and impose your will or views that I totally oppose, then I can place you on ignore. I do not respect “that one” who has usurped the office of the Presidency and I do not intend to position my children in harm’s way. I consider the man and his performance. I view him no better than a destroyer of life, liberty, and happiness. I will not put my child in a forced event that will add nothing to the building of their character or enhance their academics.
He needs an audience on a regular basis to boost his ego, I will not provide my children, as tools.

     Shelbyville is a small town of roughly 18,000 people – about 30 miles Southeast of Indianapolis.  In a town with over 95% of the population White, 1 of every 3 kids will not graduate High School.  One in Three!!!  This contradicts every major stereotype portrayed on TV and broadcast throughout society.

     Sadly, too many people across this nation believe that the educational crisis is limited to the Urban, Black, or Latino populace.  This couldn’t be farther from the truth.  This epidemic is a national catastrophe.  We are in an Educational State Of Emergency.
