The Minnesota Precinct Caucuses will be held February 7. All across the state, people will gather together to discuss and vote for the 2012 Presidential candidates they support in the upcoming elections. Unlike a primary where citizens take a few minutes to sign in and vote, a caucus can take hours to complete as people stump for their candidates, discussions of party platform positions ensue and those who only show up during major election-years sigh in boredom, wondering when they’ll be able to cast their ballot.

In 2008, a friend and I attended our local caucus and were dismayed by the amount of time it took to participate. We were amazed by the fact that in the face of an ailing economy and two socialist-leaning Democrat opponents to whomever the GOP ultimately nominated, that time was devoted toward pushing an anti-abortion stance on a platform where the anti-abortion stance was already stated. After about two hours of listening to people debate the pros/cons of each candidate and all the platform ideas, we finally were able to cast a ballot for the candidate of our choice. We then were divided into smaller groups to further discuss the goals of our party. … Read the Entire Story

Komen 3-Day for the Cure this past weekend. I walked with 2400+ women and men who have been touched, one way or another, by breast cancer. I talked with women young and old who have fought the battle and won (for now) and women who, their bald heads protected by caps and bandannas, were still in the middle of their own battle against this disease, but who still proudly walked all or most of the 60 miles with me. I sat in line for a shower with an elderly woman who, under Obamacare, would most likely be told that some of the drugs available for fighting breast cancer won’t be available to her.

Recently, the FDA determined that the cancer-fighting drug, Avastin, is not cost-effective in treating stage IV breast cancer patients. Avastin has been proven to extend cancer patients’ lives by several months, it will no longer

August 3, 2010 will be another monumental moment in the fight to “Repeal Obamacare” as Missouri voters vote to reject the highly debated bill passed by Congress and the Senate against a large majority of American’s opposition to the bill.

Missouri doesn’t just vote against the nationalized healthcare plan, they slam the door shut in the face of an over agendized Obama administration with the common sense citizens voting 70% for Proposition C.

Several states were watching this vote closely to see how Missouri voted on this issue. Some are expecting Federal legal battles to try to knock down the passage of Proposition C in Missouri.

Here is the most recent form letter I received from Senator Tom Harkin (D-IA) in response to a number of faxes I’ve sent him.

Pay careful attention to the twisting of information in an attempt to support his and President Obama’s agendas. It is worth noting that my responses from Republicans have been more detailed and have real content with factual details instead of containing agenda driven political spin.

Dear Friend:

I appreciate you taking the time to express your interest in health care reform. I am pleased to report that on December 24, 2009, I voted for, and the Senate passed, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), which will lower costs, guarantee affordable coverage for all Americans, improve the quality of care, and reduce our federal budget deficit.

We can no longer settle for the status quo in our health system. Our current health care system leaves nearly 50 million Americans without insurance, including nearly 300,000 in Iowa. People can be denied coverage because of preexisting conditions, and can be dropped from their health insurance if they get a serious illness. They can be charged much higher rates if they are women, are older, or are sick,

Shortly after it was announced that Scott Brown won the Massachusetts election many Democrats came out to make a number of statements about what their strategy might involve.

Jim Webb (D-VA) suggested, “only be fair and prudent that we suspend further votes on health care legislation until Brown is seated.”

Yet, many of us are already aware of Democratic discussions to fast-track the health care bill in an attempt to ram it through before Scott Brown is seated into office. Interestingly enough, these are not the only discussion taking place right now.

Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-NY) commented that it might not be a bad thing to take a step back from the health care legislation to concentrate on the creation of jobs (I’m wondering what took them so long?) while trying to add some health care into any bills relating to jobs. This idea is precisely why we need to have laws for legislation to only include amendments that directly relate to the bill they are being attached to.

There have been a number of other ideas suggested, including an option called “reconciliation”.

Harry Reid has made the statement that Scott Brown would be seated as soon as the proper … Read the Entire Story

January 6, 2010

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Congressman Steve King made the following statement today in support of C-SPAN’s request to broadcast the negotiations that are currently underway between the House and Senate regarding legislation to change our nation’s health care system:

“In January 2008 candidate Obama pledged not to negotiate health care legislation ‘behind closed doors.’ Instead he committed to ‘broadcasting those negotiations on C-SPAN.’ There are serious differences between candidate Obama’s statements in 2008 and President Obama’s actions in 2010.

“Today, the healthcare legislation is being negotiated behind closed doors, and C-SPAN’s request to broadcast these negotiations is being rebuffed. Tuesday night President Obama and liberals in Congress decided to bypass conference committee debate to craft government-run health care legislation in secret in an effort to expedite its passage into law.

President Barack Obama sent out an email to his supporters, followers, and worshippers, bragging about the Senate having passed their version of the healthcare bill. At the end of his email, he asked them to fill join others in signing a letter to the Senate to thank them for signing the bill.

I say, the only thing to thank them for, is selling out America and the future of our children and for signing a plan of destruction of the world’s best healthcare system.

Here is a copy of the letter found on, Organizing for America:

Although it’s Christmas Eve, I wanted to share some exciting news: The Senate just passed a historic health reform bill.

In all the back and forth, it’s easy to lose sight of what this incredible breakthrough really means. But consider this: This Christmas, there are millions of Americans without health insurance who risk losing everything if they get sick.

There are mothers and fathers who wonder how they’ll provide for their children because an illness has wiped out their savings. There are small business owners who worry that they’ll have to lay off a long-time employee because the cost of insurance is rapidly

I’m sorry to have to produce such gloomy news on Christmas Eve. I really hoped someone would come to their senses. That is assuming anyone in D.C. has any.

Many of you woke this morning to find out the Senate has given you two big lumps of coal in your Christmas Stocking. This is just another example of their liberal desire to kill the Christmas spirit for all of us. This Senate will be forever known as “The Senate That Stole Christmas”.

We don’t have to look far to find the Grinch this year since the Senate passed their version of the Healthcare monstrosity that promises to tax you long before you will ever see any benefits, even though numerous polls show the majority of America are against this unconstitutional bill.

And then to top it all off, they approved a $290 billion debt limit increase, which is enough to keep funding the financing deficit for a whole two months. Sure hope you are enjoying passing your debts onto your children, people.

I guess this is the Senate’s way of saying, “Merry Flipping Christmas Citizens!”

Be sure to let your conservative Senators know this failure falls on their laps, as … Read the Entire Story

Patriots from all around converged on Omaha, Nebraska Sunday afternoon after they received notice of an Emergency Healthcare Rally that was to take place at the Omaha Music Hall to let Senator Ben Nelson know their anger over his decision to support Harry Reid’s Amendment for the healthcare reform bill. The event was a great success with a huge crowd in attendance for the rally. I couldn’t see just how many were in the top balcony to know whether it was filled. I can say that the main floor and first balcony, of the Omaha Music Hall, were completely filled with a number of people standing on stage as well.

Throughout the event, it was made quite apparent Senator Ben Nelson had made a great many promises to vote against the proposed healthcare reform bill. As one speaker discussed Nelson’s promises, a person from the crowd shouted, “He’s a liar” with several others then joining in with calling him a liar. To that I say, if the shoe fits, you might as well wear it. I know I was brought up, as I’m sure Senator Ben Nelson was, with the understanding that if I make a promise I am … Read the Entire Story

Today’s article is coming out later than usual because of my trying to decide just how I wanted to approach this tragedy. I finally decided, the hell with it, I’ll just let my fingers make that decision for me. And they did just that. Enjoy!

Once again many of us found ourselves glued to C-SPAN2, in the middle of the night, as the Senate voted on cloture of the Harry Reid Amendment for the healthcare reform bill. We watched as votes were bought, threats were made, and bribes were placed to bring on the 60 votes needed to approve a cloture for this amendment.

This administration has used everything within their reach to push through one of the most tragic bills to ever be presented to the American population. Chicago Style Politics has been used in so many ways with the agendas of this President’s Administration. Senator Ben Nelson, of Nebraska, was one of the latest to cave to these tactics, while accepting a bribe for his support. One just has to wonder what all took place behind those closed door meetings to get Senator Nelson to become a traitor against the good people of Nebraska when the majority of … Read the Entire Story

With many questioning whether a Nationalized Health Care Bill will pass through the Senate, the Senate GOP has chosen to utilize their option to read the bill and it’s amendments aloud on the Senate floor in an effort to delay passage of the bill.

With recent reports of a <a href="http://www.the-912-project.com/2009/12/16/swine-flu-vaccine-recall-short-ships-and-many-questions/"title="Swine Flu Vaccine Recall, Short Ships, and Many Questions" target="_blank">recall of the government provided H1N1 vaccine, otherwise known as the swine flu, how can anyone believe the government will provide anything but ineffective and inefficient health care to the citizens of these United States of America?

While attending the Code Red Senate Rally, Michelle Malkin posted updates about the bill on her blog. One interesting update was about Senator Ben Nelson reportedly being threatened with a base closure if he doesn’t sign on with additional reports that me will be offered a “blank check” bribe greater than the one received by Senator Landrieu.

Other reports are stating the Senate voicemail systems have crashed because of the overwhelming number of calls coming into their offices.

And yet other reports, Tea Party Patriots, concentrated their newsletter on the event with requests to concentrate your opposition of the Health Care Reform Bill with the following Senators.

Actual content of Blanche Lincoln’s email as she attempts to do damage control:

Rather than drop an issue that is so important to Arkansas working families and small businesses, I intend to vote to open debate on a health care bill that will undergo several changes in the days and weeks ahead.

You can read my speech from the Senate floor earlier today by clicking here.

I am grateful for your opinions and comments during the last several months and look forward to your continued input.

Rephrase that too many strikes down on Government handling of the Internet and Information!

As the Senate gets ready to vote on debating the Health Care Bill tomorrow, I’d like to reflect on the Government’s qualifications to handle such a tremendous responsibility. Is there a likely success rate upon which to gauge Government accountability, transparency and accuracy in the last year?

How about <a href="http://www.the-912-project.com/2009/08/04/report-this-flagwhitehousegov/"title="Report This flag@whitehouse.gov" target="_blank">flag@whitehouse.gov ? Now that was a <a href="http://www.the-912-project.com/2009/08/09/using-federal-record-keeping-laws-to-document-intimidation-tactics/"title="Using Federal Record-Keeping Laws to Document Intimidation Tactics" target="_blank">paradox in the making! Not only was it a sham, it was not a legal method of White House initiated espionage upon fellow citizens. That idea died a rapid death.
How about whitehouse.gov? Oh it was only scrubbed of one broken promise.
How about opengov.ideascale.com/a/panel.do?id=4049 open government dialogue, not so open!
How about Serve.gov? Oh, that was only scrubbed of ACORN offerings. Move along, nothing suspicious here!
How about Recovery.org? Oh, just some clerical errors!
What do you think about 2074 pages of a Health Care bill and the government monitoring and deciding your health care options? Think this through to the logical conclusion. Promises have been made and broken, sites have been scrubbed, and facts positioned on sites are not reflecting accurate information. Five years from … Read the Entire Story

Nothing could be as idiotic as an unread Health Care Bill, put to a debate, once again on a Saturday, (stealth move, sure it is) or could there? It is even more idiotic that this will be – a debate to debate. I find this to be redundant and another busy activity of distraction and deflection. What are they up to in the Senate and Congress? Are they picking and apportioning Porkulus or is it about who will take the fall? Either way it is a disgrace.

All Patriots can go to: Congress.org and voice your opinion directly to your Senator.

You ignore phone calls by staggering your staff, you return canned responses to emails, and you hide from your constituents when you are in Arkansas. You have fallen into the Political “Follow the Leader” game by riding the Democratic party directives. You are not a leader, you are a follower.
