Camp Politics Launches with it’s Political Satire Video

The Liberty loving team at Institute for Justice launches a new campaign called, Camp Politics, against the Free Speech killing campaign finance laws meant to suppress your free speech rights found in the 1st Amendment.

While many would consider the Camp Politics to be political satire, it is well intended to show the idiocies involving the current political arena and the passage of laws to stop you from voicing your concerns and having a voice in your America.

This explanation of Camp Politics can be found on the page devoted to the campaign,

Our mission is to train your son or daughter to win political office and then stay there – mainly by using campaign finance laws to suppress political speech that threatens their reelection.

But, unfortunately, many in the public have the absurd idea that free speech should receive the full protection of the First Amendment. One of the chief proponents of this view is the Institute for Justice. It just launched its “Citizen Speech Campaign,” which it calls “a multi-state effort to restore full protection to political speech about candidates and ballot issues.” If you truly care about your children’s future as successful incumbent politicians, please do not

Michelle Obama: Please Keep Whining

Forbes Magazine‘s has announced that Michelle Obama tops their 100 Most Powerful Women list:

“At the top of our list, First Lady Michelle Obama is a true change-maker since taking lodge in the White House in 2008. The first African-American in the post, she’s changed the face of the office (literally), and with consistently high approval ratings, she’s given a new generation of girls and women around the world a role model. A former private attorney and public servant in Chicago, her interest in working with young people and advocating for healthy eating, among other issues, is evidenced by her Let’s Move! campaign, which aims to solve the epidemic of childhood obesity within a generation.”

The role as First Lady of the United States doesn’t seem to be sitting well with Ms. Obama who apparently finds the job so difficult that The National Enquirer (which broke the news of John Edwards’ affair two years before the MSM touched the story) is reporting that the day after the First Family returned from vacation at Martha’s Vineyard, Ms. Obama could be heard screaming at her husband:

Cartoon: Glenn Beck’s Restoring Honor Rally

Once again Rob Smith, Jr. comes out with a creative cartoon that this time portrays a couple of clean-cut guys heading down the path to Glenn Beck’s “Restoring Honor Rally” held on 8-28-1010 and the idiocies of another more radical individual holding signs stating, “I Love Socialism” and “Saul Alinsky is My Role Model” all while stating, “I’m Here to Save Our Country”. It is an interesting note that the leftists clearly missed the announcement that the Restoring Honor rally did NOT want people bringing signs to the rally so the opposition to faith, hope, and charity could easily be picked out.

It wasn’t long ago I heard a speech that was given by President Obama to a group of students where he talked about personal accountability. I couldn’t help but to think about this speech and ask myself just how hypocritical this speech was when he has failed to accept the blame for the many current failures of his Presidency while he continues to blame President Bush for all the failures of the current administration.

Cartoon: Islamic Community Center Gets the Go Ahead by New York Officials

With the New York Islamic Community Center receiving approval by New York City leaders yesterday, even though it’s a slap in the face to all who dealt with the tragedies of 9/11, I felt this cartoon, by Rob Smith, Jr., would be a fitting item for this morning. Although it is not too popular, I have to agree they do have a First Amendment right to express their religious beliefs. Is this the real issue though? I say not. I see it as another attempt to use our Constitution against us by planning to build this so close to ground zero.

I’ll let you be the judge for yourself, but just for the record I say not just no, but “HELL NO”!

If immigration reform, or amnesty as most of us would view it, passes, I am left wondering just how many terrorists will then become citizens since they have been using our wide open borders to come into the United States for years?

Rather than focusing on the real issues, team Obama continues to be distracted with things like controlling the markets and now, with the time being ripe, he decides to throw the amnesty issue into the equation. Wouldn’t it be nice if this administration would put a strong focus on creating jobs rather than continuing to scare the hell out of the business owners and investors and keeping them from expanding their businesses and/or investing in businesses?

Cartoon: Toyota’s Gas Pedal Recall Issue

This cartoon, by Rob’s Right, makes light of the Toyota gas pedal recall issue that has now been joined by a brake issue with some models of Toyota vehicles.

While this is indeed a serious problem, for those having been affected, there have been many who have come out to question why individuals in the current administration have made such a big issue of this when all manufacturers have been plagued with recalls for a variety of serious issues in the past. One of the most dominant debates going on is based around whether it might be an attempt to help tear down the competition of General Motors, which has nicknamed as Government Motors since the government funded bailout after GM began having financial difficulties.
