Florida Senator George LeMieux Cries Foul on Feds Failure to Clean Up Gulf
Posted by: | CommentsIn a video released yesterday, June 21, 2010, by The Shark Tank, Florida Senator George LeMieux accuses the Federal Government of failing to get available equipment to the Gulf region to clean-up the oil spill contaminating the Florida beaches.
According to the Senator LeMieux, during his interview,
“We only have 20 skimmers off the coast of Florida. We have 2000 skimmers in the United States. We haven’t even asked, as the Federal Government, for those skimmers to come to the Gulf.”
He went on to talk about how he had questioned the President about why these skimmers weren’t being deployed to the region and the President felt the skimmers needed to be in their current positions in case there is an oil spill in those areas. LeMieux made the point that this was like not being able to send a fire truck to your house burning down because another house may burn down.
Senator George LeMieux also discussed foreign offers,
“The Dutch has Super Skimmers they have been offering with Federal Government saying, no.”
Pamela Geller Accused of Hate Speech by Paypal
Posted by: | CommentsPamela Geller has been reporting since yesterday, June 12th, 2010, that Paypal has sent her a request to remove their buttons from her site or they will close her paypal account. As many of us already know, Geller has taken a hard line stance against the many issues relating to the Jihad attacks against America, Christianity, and Israel.
Pamela and Atlas Shrugs relies on Paypal contributions, by readers, to help pay for bus ads, rallies, and live coverage. She feels that Paypal has picked her out as spewing “Hate Speech” when they (Paypal) were permitting others to display Paypal buttons (which has since been removed) and continue to use their services for real inciters to violence, Jewish genocide, and Revolution Muslim on sites like http://www.revolutionmuslim.com/. And then you have an ebay seller who is selling dvd’s of imam Anwar al-Awlaki’s incitement — his racist, violent jihad screeds (at least was at the time of this post) and using Paypal for people to purchase them.
I have no problem with any company making decisions they feel to be in their best interests. The problem lies in their choice to address a freedom of speech issue with one individual, or group of individuals, while not being consistent across the board. As much as I hate the idea of it, I even believe so much in Freedom of Speech that I believe the hateful American flag burners should have that right (even though I’d just assume give them a one way ticket to get the hell out of our country if they hate it that much).
I, and others, believe the reason Pamela has been directly attacked is because of her recent protests against the Mosque that is to be built near ground zero. If this is indeed the case, Paypal has taken the wrong approach and supported the wrong group of people on this issue, as you can easily see with the amount of support Geller is getting in the Paypal blogs (Let’s see how long it is before they remove the comments).
An example of Pam’s stance can be found in her recent CNN interview (seen below, as long as it doesn’t get removed) in a segment about the Muslim Mosque to be built near ground zero.
A long list of bloggers have joined in with Pam on this fight for our Freedom of Speech:

First You See It, Now You Don’t – The Reuters Middle Class Tax Article
Posted by: | CommentsJust have to love the news bite site – Before It’s News that captured “**REUTERS: Backdoor taxes to hit middle class…” An anonymous member captured original article text:
“Backdoor taxes to hit middle class
-The Obama administration’s plan to cut more than $1 trillion from the deficit over the next decade relies heavily on so-called backdoor tax increases that will result in a bigger tax bill for middle-class families.
In the 2010 budget tabled by President Barack Obama on Monday, the White House wants to let billions of dollars in tax breaks expire by the end of the year — effectively a tax hike by stealth.
While the administration is focusing its proposal on eliminating tax breaks for individuals who earn $250,000 a year or more, middle-class families will face a slew of these backdoor increases.
The targeted tax provisions were enacted under the Bush administration’s Economic Growth and Tax Relief Reconciliation Act of 2001. Among other things, the law lowered individual tax rates, slashed taxes on capital gains and dividends, and steadily scaled back the estate tax to zero in 2010.
If the provisions are allowed to expire on December 31, the top-tier personal income tax rate will rise to 39.6 percent from 35 percent. But lower-income families will pay more as well: the 25 percent tax bracket will revert back to 28 percent; the 28 percent bracket will increase to 31 percent; and the 33 percent bracket will increase to 36 percent. The special 10 percent bracket is eliminated.”

Reuters Retracts ‘Taxes To Hit Middle Class’ Article
I just love Rush’s view:
The article drew scattered attention from conservative bloggers, some of whom questioned the retraction, and on his radio show, Rush Limbaugh said, “Reuters has withdrawn the story because the truth is not to be tolerated in the Obama administration.”
So much for Freedom of the Press!
Two Nights, one Hotel Room in Copenhagen Costs Taxpayers $4406.00
Posted by: | CommentsLet me get this straight: Americans are all being forced to: tighten their belts due to a recession caused by government interference with the housing market; warily watch the economy for the feared “double-dip” recession that, if it comes, will also have been caused by government interference in the Nation’s business; hold onto jobs that they don’t like for fear of being unable to find another one if they quit; take “stay-cations” because they can’t afford real vacations; and basically cut back on anything and everything.
Meanwhile, over 100 Representatives and government workers spent over $1.1 million dollars to attend the Copenhagen Summit. Not only did our Representatives spend 1.1 Million Tax-Payer Dollars to attend a summit based on fabricated evidence of Global Warming, (Climategate emails), but they also in no way accounted for the taxpayer money they spent while there. Furthermore, had the so-called leaders had their way, this Summit would have forced Americans to pay higher taxes and increased energy costs in order to subsidize third-world, emerging countries’ efforts to go “green”. So we go to a Climate Change Conference to pay countries like China to whom we already owe billions of dollars.
The recently released expense report lists each Representative and some staffers being reimbursed exactly $4,406.00. Nancy Pelosi claimed that $4,406.00 was the cost of the hotel (the Five Star Marriott Copenhagen):
Pelosi’s office did offer an explanation for the high room charges. Those who stayed just two nights were charged Read More→
Need for Joe the Plumber to Explain Sharing the Songs to Joe Walsh and Joe Walsh
Posted by: | CommentsWhere’s Joe the Plumber to help dignify the Joe Walsh great song, “Walk Away”, debacle?
If you haven’t heard, there’s the Candidate Joe Walsh Republican – Illinois and of course the Joe Walsh of Music Fame. Now there has been an issue with the use of the Music Star Joe Walsh’s use of song, words changed, as Joe Walsh the Candidate’s campaign theme song. Well…
Joe Walsh Doesn’t Want Joe Walsh Singing His Song and Rocker Joe Walsh Takes On Namesake Politician. I believe he has the right to request this!
However, I am not impressed with Joe Walsh the Candidate’s immature response posted on his political website under the heading title: “WALSH VS WALSH, II – The Candidate Defends the Tea Party Movement” no matter how it turns out:
