Minnesota Congresswoman Michele Bachmann joins other House Republicans in the signing of the recently unveiled Declaration of Health Care Independence.

On January 27, 2010 Republican members of the House took a bold stance against the proposals for a health care takeover by Liberal members of the House and Senate. See Rep. Bachmann’s press release, below.

Washington, D.C., Jan 27 – U.S. Representative Michele Bachmann (MN-06), along with several Republican colleagues, formally unveiled and signed today the Declaration of Health Care Independence at the U.S. Capitol.

“The Declaration of Health Care Independence is a commitment to protect the rights of the American people to make their own health care decisions, reduce bureaucratic red-tape, decrease intergenerational debt, and includes 10 common-sense principles that must be included in future health care reforms,” said Bachmann.  “This is not a bill, but rather a roadmap of the rules going forward.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Congressman Steve King, along with House Republicans, today unveiled the Declaration of Health Care Independence, a commitment to protect the rights of the American people to make their own health decisions, reduce bureaucratic red-tape, decrease intergenerational debt and includes ten common-sense principles that must be included in future health care reforms.
