The New Year, 2010, Will Be “The Year of the Patriot”
Posted by: | CommentsFor several days I’ve been debating how to approach a New Year’s Eve article and finally it popped into my head this morning. I decided to go with a brief 2009 year in review of the tea party and 912 movement and throw out an idea of naming the New Year, 2010, as “The Year of The Patriot”.
We all know 2009 was a sad year and can safely be labeled “The Year of the Liberal” as they had a stronghold in the House and the Senate as they supported a Liberal President’s agendas. The one thing they never expected, was the uprising of the U.S. citizens as people from all party affiliations came together hand in hand and rose up against a government filled with lies, deception, and a great deal of deep seated corruption. The reason I’m not calling 2009 “The Year of The Patriot”, is because the movement consisted largely of passionate rallies and events with no formal organization or real solutions yet put in place. While many legislators and opponents want to believe the grass roots movement has lost it’s momentum, that thought couldn’t be further from the truth. In fact, there is a great deal of organizing and planning taking place during these frigid winter months. As we begin to better organize the movement, we will indeed see the New Year, 2010, as “The Year of The Patriot”.
Let’s sum up some of the important events that took place throughout 2009:
A little known fact is that the events actually started with a Tea Party event held on February 27, 2009 in Atlanta, Georgia. The positive results of the first modern day tea party event helped to spawn the Tea Party movement which quickly exploded into the building of a national movement that produced a national ‘Tax Day Tea Party” event held on the official tax day of the United States, April 15, 2009. With little time and a strong lack of main stream media coverage, the event was to be attended by millions of grass roots patriots from all across the nation. As news of the success of this event spread, Tea Party Groups and 912 Groups, filled with patriots of all colors, party affiliations, and ages, began to pop up all across the nation.
This movement was quick to be labeled by main stream media as a Republican based event, while Republicans were quick to want to use this movement to build support for their party. Truth be known, the uprising involved Democrats, Republicans, and Independents who have seen all parties as having lost touch with the idea of “We The People”. It’s base was formed around the general disconnect seen as lawmakers refuse to listen to the will of the majority of the people and wrongly chose to cater to special interest groups (lobbyists) and a small group of loud and often bile speaking Liberals who have nothing but the interest of destroying the freedoms and liberties provided to the citizens of the United States by something known as the United States Constitution.
The next major event came along on Independence Day, July 4th, when citizens came together again and held a nationwide rally to show their anger with an out of control governmental body. This was followed by Town Hall meetings where citizens tried to inform their legislators of their failures by choosing to not read the contents of the bills they were signing into law. This brought on a loud outcry of “Read The Bill” with strong regards to the contents of the proposed health care bill being pushed through Congress and the Senate. What was more shocking than anything else, was lawmakers complete disregard for their constituents and their desire to avoid them at any cost. Some chose to hold town hall meetings via phone conferencing systems, while others chose to stay as far away from their districts as possible and hold no town hall meetings.
The next major event took place on September 12, 2009. It was known as the 9-12 March on DC. This event was attended by bus loads of grass roots patriots from all across the United States. What’s different about this event compared to liberal protests, is the patriots usually paid for their own bus tickets and hotel accommodations instead of some large organization footing the bill. Although there were a number of regional events being held simultaneously, the D.C. event was attended by numbers being officially estimated (by aerial photography) at around two million. These numbers were quick to be downplayed by a number of liberal bloggers and main stream media sources as attendance only being estimated around 60 – 70 thousand.
One event that was spawned, from the blatant lies and failed news reporting by main stream media sources, was the “Operation Can You Hear Us Now” event that caught on and grew like wild fire. This event brought patriots out to the offices of their local main stream media outlets, with signs to show their anger with the failed reporting we have seen by a number of companies who are suppose to be reporting the news instead of a twisted liberal agenda filled with lies to sell the general public on a twisted agenda that hates the United States Constitution and the freedoms and liberties provided by it.
Coming to a city near you in 2010:
While many other events will be popping up, the next major planned event will once again be held on the official U.S. tax day, April 15, 2010. It appears that many tea party groups are beginning to align their Tax Day Tea Party event with the concept of “The American Tax Revolt 2010 Nationwide Tax Revolt Tea Party“.
As this movement continues to grow, there are many interesting ideas and concepts coming forth of how to resolve the issues presented to the American people by an out of control government. One of the best solutions I’ve seen so far is summed up in it’s title, “Bring Home The Politicians“, with the basic principle of putting politicians offices right back in their districts where they will be expected to spend at least 75% of their time. Another key advantage to this seems to be the added costs incurred by special interest groups, because they would be forced to spend a great deal more to apply their lobbying efforts as they travel from district to district to try and influence lawmakers with the needs of their supporting cause. I have yet to find any negative to the overall concept involved at, Bring Home The Politicians.

Hoffman Continues to Gain Steam as 912ers Come Onboard
Posted by: | CommentsThere is an interesting race forming in New York as Doug Hoffman (a third party candidate) finds high level of support from 912ers across the nation. Most of us are already aware of Sarah Palin’s announcement to endorse Hoffman as her candidate of choice in New York’s 23 district Congressional race. With this announcement brought a great deal of support from Palin’s followers as Sarah stood out and chose to support a candidate who is running against the Republican supported, Scozzafava, who has been considered by many as being far too liberal a candidate to support conservative beliefs.
It is not the position of The 912 Project Fan Site to endorse candidates, however we will introduce you to those who have chosen and stated that they support the principles and values of the 912 movement. We highly recommend that you take a look at these candidates and their positions on the issues so you can choose for yourself whether they are taking the right stance on the issues that most concern you.
An article posted, at 912 candidates .org, by Nanette Kirsch, states:
Nov. 3 will mark a key date in the 9-12 movement; that’s when the first of its candidates will put the 9 principles and 12 values to the test at the ballot box. Doug Hoffman is running as a Conservative Party candidate in New York’s 23rd Congressional District special election against Republican Party nominee, State Assembly member Dierdre Scozzafava; and Democratic Party nominee, businessman and attorney Bill Owens.
“You have to remember I’m not a politician. Everything has been a learning experience. Fortunately as my race developed I met the 9-12 organization; it helped me become more focused on the message I was trying to get out to voters. Having the volunteers behind me has been a big boost,” Hoffman said.

Great Speakers at the 9/12 March on Washington DC
Posted by: | CommentsThe March on Washington DC was attended by some of America’s finest patriots. I have several friends who were amongst those in attendance on a day designed to remember the level of patriotism brought forth by the tragic events on 9-11-2001. This return to American pride is what The 912 Project was designed around.
One of these friends, who participated in the 9-12 March on DC has sent me a video of the event that has some powerful and inspirational speakers. Please take a moment and check out his video and then take a look at the many other videos he took while visiting Washington.
Revisiting Quincy, IL and the Successful 912 Tea Party Event
Posted by: | CommentsOn September 12, 2009 I attended the Quincy, IL 9-12 Tea Party event which was a successful and well organized event with a number of quality speakers and patriots in attendance. Due to the large number of news events this past week, I was unable to find time to get this posted until now.
The morning began in Des Moines, IA where a number of people decided to meet up at a local grocery store chain deli for breakfast. The group had just placed their orders and were not there for more than 15 minutes when a number of people had already stopped by our group to find out where the local events were for the day. We had to tell them that there were no local events due to the Iowa and Iowa State game taking place. Our group did proceed to tell them about the various events going on and that our particular group was heading for the Quincy, IL 9-12 event.
There was one gentleman, who appeared to be a professional, that stood out from the rest. He spent some time talking to the group and shortly before departing, he told us that we might think this is funny but he is a registered Democrat and that he would love to see a Sarah Palin – Liz Cheney ticket in 2012. As we were all entertained by his comment, group members reminded him that the who 912 Project and Tea Party was not at all about any one party. It is about the level of corruption by politicians of both parties. If you are a liberal reading this, I can make my point that both parties are really one in the same by pointing you to OpenSecrets.org and asking you to pay particular attention to the large expenditures (maybe donations) made to the Republicans and the NRA by one certain candidate.
The group finished breakfast and began our three and a half hour journey to the Quincy 912 Tea Party event with our windows decorated and flags a flying. The journey took us across Interstate 80 in Iowa and the Hwy 218. Most of the excitement happened as we traveled across I-80 with many people honking, waving, and holding a thumbs up. There were even several semi drivers who layed on the air horns to show their support. We only had a couple of negative events as we traveled and each of them showed the level of emotionally driven aggression that we have come to expect by our opposition.
Upon arriving at the event, we were greeted by friendly volunteers using golf carts to transport people from the parking areas to Central Park, where the event was being held. We had arrived about an hour before the event was scheduled to begin which allowed me to go around and meet a number of people and take pictures of their handmade signs (not to be confused with the professionally printed and paid for signs of SEIU and ACORN paid volunteers).

The 912 DC March Numbers Game and What it Means to You
Posted by: | CommentsIn recent days there has been a great deal of fuss over crowd estimates at the 9-12 DC March on September 12, 2009. Some reports downplayed the crowd, ABC News reports 60,000-70,000 protestors, to play to their liberal socialist agendas and add more nails to their ridiculous reporting coffin.
Yet, others like Matt Welch, reported a healthy six figures. After viewing numerous reports, photos, and a DC time lapse traffic cam, I would consider it safe to say that Matt is pretty close with his open six figure estimate. Michelle Malkin has put out a few of her own articles discussing the crowd estimates, with her latest, “Yes, the picture is real, nutroots“.
In a phone conversation with Brad Rees, who attended the event, I recall Brad joking about the ABC estimates and he said something to the tune of, the 60-70K downplayed estimates were probably in the 12th Streets and 14th Streets alone. If the USA Today crowd estimate schematic, shown below, is true, it’s safe to say that Mr. Rees’ conservative estimate comment to me, could easily be on the far low end.

So, the big question here is, why all the fuss over these 9-12 DC March crowd estimates?
The answer is actually an easy one. If the numbers were on the low end, such as the ABC reports would like to show, it would mean that there is little support for those opposing the current administrations socialistic agendas. On the other hand, if the numbers are indeed in the millions, this means the opposition is winning the fight to save America.
Quite simply, the numbers that actually showed up in DC for the 9-12 march are a sampling of the massive numbers who would have liked to have made it to the event. For every one person that showed up there are several who support the movement and would have liked to have been at the event, but were unable to attend because of a variety of factors that kept them from doing so.
Patriots are the people who take great pride in their jobs because they were taught by their families to take pride in being able to support your family without holding out your hand for handouts. They take great pride in taking care of their families and find that family commitments override their desire to go to an event, even one of such great historical value. And then, you have the many patriots who have lost their jobs or had their hours cut back because of the failure of this administration to stop with their agenda and actually do something that will stimulate the economy. (Enough of the blame Bush game. It’s time to take responsibility, Mr. President.) I know I would have loved to have been able to attend the 9-12 DC March and I actually had plans of attending until a mishap put me on crutches and I decided that I would much rather deal with the smaller crowd at the well organized Quincy, IL 912 Tea Party event rather than hopping around the much larger DC event.
There is yet one more point to make here. When an accurate crowd estimate finally hits the media, it will NEVER show the large crowds of Tea Party participants that attended the Tea Party Express stops along their sixteen day journey across the United States. Nor, will the numbers show the large numbers that attended various Tea Parties that were held simultaneously all across America. The true numbers of proud patriotic Americans that participated in this historic reclaiming of America event, will never be known and those on the far left will continue to fight off any and all official crowd estimates no matter how reliable the source might be.
This sign has very few words but says so much. “Silence is Consent – Can you Hear us now?” Proud patriots stepping outside their comfort zone.

President Obama says, “The other side just do as they’re told”

Mr. President,
We, 9/12-ers and others who oppose your agenda and that of the likes of Pelosi & Reid, are not the ones who just “do as we’re told.” Oh no, sir, that is not who or what we are, and that, is your BIGGEST problem. We will never sit idly by and allow you and the Democrat Congress destroy the country.
At first I thought that maybe your heart was in the right place, that you had come by your ideals nobly. Now, I realize that your ideals are a smoke-screen hiding your real secret desire: power. You are so desperate for power and control that you will stop at nothing from attacking legitimate news organizations to creating “enemies lists” to ignoring our soldiers in Afghanistan. You play the blame-game, blaming Bush for all the economic problems and the wars and that you had to come in and “mop up” Bush’s messes and the other side isn’t “comin’ in and helpin’ out.” Excuse me? Do you even listen to the American people? Do you even listen to the Republican Congressmen and women who have presented you other alternatives? No. You sir, are the one dividing the country. You claim that you will change the world’s opinion of the United States, but what’s really happening? The world is laughing at us. The world knows that we are collapsing from within. The world knows that you are weak and inexperienced and lean far, far to the left, that you have surrounded yourself with Marxist and Communist advisors, and they are laughing at us. The world didn’t like President Bush, but the world knew, if you messed with the U.S.A. you would pay the price. The world doesn’t believe that about you. The world watches you rub shoulders with dictators like Chavez and talk about negotiating with insane leaders like Ahmadinejad. The world watches as you let our soldiers sit in Afghanistan while you have parties in the White House and jet to Europe to plug Chicago for the Olympics, and the world realizes where your priorities are, and the world sees that we are weak.
We, the 9/12-ers, the Tea Partyers, the Conservatives and Libertarians will not “do as we’re told”, especially if we are being told what to do by you, Mr. President. You will continue to hear our shouts of opposition until you fully succeed in destroying the Constitution and take away our First Amendment Right to Free Speech. You will hear from us while you tax us into oblivion, while you and your cronies use Global Warming and Pandemic Emergencies to grab more power for yourselves. You will hear us on November 2, 2010 when your party loses control of Congress and you learn the lesson that Bill Clinton was forced to learn: you push the American public too hard, too fast and they rebel. You will have to learn how to compromise with the opposition. You will learn what it is like to be a “lame-duck” President, because there is no way you will see a second-term, unless you use ACORN (again) to rig the election.
Enjoy your time now, Mr. President, because the day will come when the people will rise up and say “Enough is Enough!” and vote you and your cronies out.
