According to several news accounts, Trayvon Martin’s grieving mother has filed with the U.S. Patent and Trademark office to trademark phrases used in protests of her son’s death.

The phrases “I am Trayvon” and “Justice for Trayvon” are included in Sybrina Fulton’s filing, and her attorney claims that the phrases would be used on things like CDs and DVDs to help people in similar situations.

The phrases have been used by people protesting Trayvon’s death last month and, with other phrases, are popping up on apparel sold online.

Another fad brought on by the controversy surrounding Trayvon’s death is for people to start wearing “hoodies” similar to the one Trayvon was wearing the night he died.  There is even a Facebook page dedicated to people wearing hoodies in honor of Trayvon.

Even Barack Obama’s re-election campaign has gotten in on the hoodie fad by marketing Barack Obama 2012 hoodies on Obama’s campaign website.

Is this the work of a grieving community? Or is it the work of people trying to exploit this young man’s death for their own financial gain?

Curiously, there’s no record of Sybrina Fulton filing to trademark her son’s Twitter account name, “No_Limit_Nigga”.

Towards the end of last week a friend shared a YouTube video link with me of the painting, “The Forgotten Man”. The video was published on September 7, 2010 and I was fortunate to have been able to view it when it had slightly over 10,000 views. Many things over the past weekend kept me too busy to share the video with you in a more timely manner. I can’t apologize for this since it was a weekend of more action than talk. Since my initial viewing of the video of this masterpiece, the video has found it’s way into the viral video status with over 174,000 videos as of this morning, September 13, 2010. Folks, that is impressive, but it’s not near enough. Every single American needs to see this video so they understand truth to why Jon McNaughton made it.

In the video the artist, Jon McNaughton, explains,

“For a long time I didn’t know if I wanted to paint this picture, because I worried it might be too controversial. But, as an American… I knew I couldn’t be still. I had to do something.”

And, do something is precisely what Jon McNaughton did when he painted “The Forgotten Man“.

Mr. McNaughton continues to explain his decision,

“I wondered if the Presidents of the past could speak to us today, what would they say?”

Personally, I have no doubt the Presidents of the past would be reaching out to Jon and thanking him for taking such a bold step to record a time in American history when Presidents are so quick to sell their country out to corruption and special interests that do not have America’s best interests at heart.

On the McNaughton Art site, Jon explains,

“There is no racial meaning or undertone that the FM is not black. This is not a racial painting; it is about the vanishing of the American dream.

It is not a partisan painting. I take no favoritism of Republicans or Democrats. Both parties are guilty.”

Seth Adam Smith, the videos author, writes,

Against the background of a darkening sky, all of the past Presidents of the United States gather before the White House, as if to commemorate some great event. In the left hand corner of the painting sits a man. That man, with his head bowed appears distraught and hopeless as he contemplates his future.  Some of the past Presidents try to console him while looking in the direction of the modern Presidents as if to say, “What have you done?”  Many of these modern Presidents, seemingly oblivious to anything other than themselves, appear to be congratulating each other on their great accomplishments.  In front of the man, paper trash is blowing in the wind.  Crumpled dollar bills, legislative documents, and, like a whisper—the U.S.Constitution beneath the foot of Barack Obama.

The forgotten man, shown front center in the painting, truly shows the frustrations of many American Citizens who are growing more and more frustrated with our politicians and their unwillingness to serve their constituents and their country.

While I was attending FreedomStock in Onawa, Iowa on Saturday 11, 2010, I had the opportunity to speak with Michael Jablonski who owns The Forgotten Man .org who was one of the scheduled speakers for that days memorial event of 9/11. While talking to Michael and his wife I asked them if they had seen the video of Jon McNaughton’s “The Forgotten Man” yet. Neither one of them had seen it yet. I quickly pulled out my computer and loaded up the video and put it in full screen mode for the two of them to see this impressive and accurate portrayal of our Presidents, both past and present. As I watched with them I could see their faces as they were both struck with absolute amazement as to McNaughton’s degree of accuracy in his masterpiece. Was the timing coincidence or was it just meant to be? We’ll never truly know the answer to that question, but I was able to bring two different, and yet very similar, versions of The Forgotten Man together on 9-11.

Please watch and share this historical masterpiece as Jon McNaughton portrays all the American Presidents of past and present in his painting, The Forgotten Man.

In a portrayal of the well known and heavily used term of “Chicago Style Politics”, Rob Smith, Jr. gives us “The Kick Ass Team” featuring none other than President Obama and his street thugs themselves.

The team consists of David “B.A.” Axelrod, Rahm “FACE” Emanuel (late breaking news states he may be quitting the “O’s” A-Team), Joe “MADDOG” Biden, and none other than the “O” man himself – Barack “HANNIBAL” Obama. Now if this political cartoon tells a tale of a thousand words – with a teleprompter of course.

President Barack Obama sent out an email to his supporters, followers, and worshippers, bragging about the Senate having passed their version of the healthcare bill. At the end of his email, he asked them to fill join others in signing a letter to the Senate to thank them for signing the bill.

I say, the only thing to thank them for, is selling out America and the future of our children and for signing a plan of destruction of the world’s best healthcare system.

Here is a copy of the letter found on, Organizing for America:

Although it’s Christmas Eve, I wanted to share some exciting news: The Senate just passed a historic health reform bill.

In all the back and forth, it’s easy to lose sight of what this incredible breakthrough really means. But consider this: This Christmas, there are millions of Americans without health insurance who risk losing everything if they get sick.

There are mothers and fathers who wonder how they’ll provide for their children because an illness has wiped out their savings. There are small business owners who worry that they’ll have to lay off a long-time employee because the cost of insurance is rapidly rising.

If we finish the job, all this can change. We will have beaten back the special interests who have for so long perpetuated the status quo. We will have enacted the most important piece of social policy since the Social Security Act in the 1930s, and the most important health reform since Medicare in the 1960s.

In Decembers to come, millions more will have access to affordable coverage. Parents will have the security and stability of knowing their insurance can’t be revoked at a moment’s notice. And the skyrocketing costs plaguing our small businesses will be brought under control.

When you make calls, write letters, organize, this is the change you’re making — a better life for your family and for men and women in every state.

There is still more to do before I can sign reform into law — a last round of negotiations and final votes in the Senate and the House — and I’m counting on your help every step of the way. But for now, I hope that as you celebrate this holiday season, you remember that the work you are doing is making our union more perfect, one step at a time. For that, I am grateful to you.

Merry Christmas and happy holidays,

President Barack Obama

P.S. — Organizing for America supporters are signing a note of appreciation to all the senators who have worked so hard to make this possible. I hope you’ll join them.

So what’s with the title? This title is to portray a President who has never accepted his Presidency and continues to run around the world, while on the taxpayer’s dollar, to continue his campaign speeches while using every opportunity to use props to help him build up his campaign.

The most recent speech involved his “Jobs Summit” where he was proud that the jobless rate fell to 10%. What’s sad is that these numbers represent the seasonal positions filled for the Holiday shopping and those who have just given up on the system and/or have lost their unemployment benefits. When the temporary employment, filled by the demands of the Holiday Seasonal, drop off there is no doubt that the jobless numbers will rebound to their previous 10.2% level or even higher.

As we have grown too accustomed to, Candidate Obama will be using this opportunity to take another campaign multi-city tour to take “Main Street’s temperature” to better understand the job loss issues. I, for one, would like to know just how he will be taking “Main Streets temperature” when he will likely never make it anywhere near any main street area. Geee, I wonder what happened to all that stimulus money that was intended to create jobs? Oh, that’s right, only a fraction of that was ever spent, with that fraction having been used to cover short term solutions in areas of the country who provided his campaign with a great deal of support.

Moving on…

Barack Obama’s previous campaign speech involved a long overdue speech regarding his plans for a 30,000 Afghanistan troop surge.

Obama’s speech began with,obama mcchrystal

“Good evening. To the United States Corps of Cadets, to the men and women of our Armed Services, and to my fellow Americans: I want to speak to you tonight about our effort in Afghanistan — the nature of our commitment there, the scope of our interests, and the strategy that my administration will pursue to bring this war to a successful conclusion. It’s an extraordinary honor for me to do so here at West Point — where so many men and women have prepared to stand up for our security, and to represent what is finest about our country.

To address these important issues, it’s important to recall why America and our allies were compelled to fight a war in Afghanistan in the first place. We did not ask for this fight. On September 11, 2001, 19 men hijacked four airplanes and used them to murder nearly 3,000 people. They struck at our military and economic nerve centers. They took the lives of innocent men, women, and children without regard to their faith or race or station. Were it not for the heroic actions of passengers onboard one of those flights, they could have also struck at one of the great symbols of our democracy in Washington, and killed many more.

As we know, these men belonged to al Qaeda — a group of extremists who have distorted and defiled Islam, one of the world’s great religions, to justify the slaughter of innocents. Al Qaeda’s base of operations was in Afghanistan, where they were harbored by the Taliban — a ruthless, repressive and radical movement that seized control of that country after it was ravaged by years of Soviet occupation and civil war, and after the attention of America and our friends had turned elsewhere.”

Once again the Presidential Candidate, Barack Obama, chose to use members of the military as his props. This time he used a group of Corp Cadets who didn’t seem too amused with their being used as props. You might have even noticed that he even used the opportunity to give his Islamic friends an interesting plug with his stating, “one of the world’s great religions“, as if he was trying campaign for Islam.

Mr. President, when are you going move ahead with your Presidency and accept that the issues of today’s are no longer President Bush’s issues, but indeed they are your issues that need to be addressed and handled today by none other than you? Maybe you should think about filling your administration with successful business people who know how to get the job done, rather than with a group of individuals who have done nothing but spend their lives trying to figure out how to live off the backs of the American taxpayers (the government).

I am a proud father whose son has recently joined the ranks of the military, I want to know that we have a Commander in Chief who is willing to take on the responsibility for the job he has been appointed to do… the job as the President of these United States of America. My biggest concerns are not with my son joining the military, but that he joined under a man who is so unwilling to take on this most important position and accept the responsibilities of his position. Step up and be man enough to accept this responsibility and do it today and get off your DAMN campaign trail! The campaign was over with several months ago!

This is a excerpt from a talk given at BYU in 1966 entitled “Our Immediate Responsibility”.

Benson believed that a communist/socialist conspiracy was working within our country to subtly drive us, like cattle, into communism. Many Americans today see that the election of President Barack Obama is evidence of this very thing. Many people, from all walks of life, voted for President Obama with promises of Hope and Change. Sadly, they failed to listen to the content and promises provided to them by Michelle and now President Obama during their run to be voted into this honorable office.

Everywhere I go I talk to people who have jumped ship with statements like, “I this is not the change I voted for!” Making an uneducated vote is probably one of the most dangerous votes anyone can place. Unfortunately, we live in a world where people fail to research topics for themselves and rely on someone to tell them what they believe to be the truth. Please listen to the words in the Youtube video below and listen carefully for this is the hope and change many Americans voted for.
