Have Obamacare “Death Panels” Already Begun for Women with Breast Cancer?
Posted by: | CommentsRecently, the FDA determined that the cancer-fighting drug, Avastin, is not cost-effective in treating stage IV breast cancer patients. Avastin has been proven to extend cancer patients’ lives by several months, it will no longer be available to women suffering from breast cancer or ovarian cancer; it will, however, still be available for people treating other types of cancer.
The cost of this drug is quite expensive, but isn’t extending life worth it? If Obamacare is already starting to attack and restrict people from using drugs that might possibly extend life now, what will our medical decisions be in 2014 when we’re all forced to follow the Obamacare rules?
What will Democrats Strategy Involve After Scott Brown Win?
Posted by: | CommentsShortly after it was announced that Scott Brown won the Massachusetts election many Democrats came out to make a number of statements about what their strategy might involve.
Jim Webb (D-VA) suggested, “only be fair and prudent that we suspend further votes on health care legislation until Brown is seated.”
Yet, many of us are already aware of Democratic discussions to fast-track the health care bill in an attempt to ram it through before Scott Brown is seated into office. Interestingly enough, these are not the only discussion taking place right now.
Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-NY) commented that it might not be a bad thing to take a step back from the health care legislation to concentrate on the creation of jobs (I’m wondering what took them so long?) while trying to add some health care into any bills relating to jobs. This idea is precisely why we need to have laws for legislation to only include amendments that directly relate to the bill they are being attached to.
There have been a number of other ideas suggested, including an option called “reconciliation”.
Harry Reid has made the statement that Scott Brown would be seated as soon as the proper paperwork is done.
Another statement by Reid reads, “Regardless of the size of their minority caucus, Senate Republicans have always had an obligation to join us in governing our nation through these difficult times. Today’s election doesn’t change that. In fact it is now more important than before for Republicans to work with us rather than against us if we are to find common ground that improves Americans’ lives.” Apparently, he is now trying to blame the Republicans for not wanting to work with Democrats when it has been the Dems who have been locking opposition out of a number of meetings. This is an issue that has brought many to believe there should be rule changes to prevent opposition from being locked out of meetings involving legislative talks. This serious issue could easily be used to block opposition on both sides of the fence and has been issue drawing concern by many concerned citizens and legislators.
Truth be known, only time will tell what the Democrats will actually do about the huge upset for Dems. in the Massachusetts Senate election.
Liberals Block C-SPAN and Republicans from Health Care Debate
Posted by: | CommentsThe liberals continue to lie and cheat their way to the destruction of America with plans of ramming the health care bill right down your throats. Like it or not!
The likes of Obama, Pelosi, and Reid continue to block Republicans and the American public from any level of participation in the final version of the health care bill with their continued blockage of C-SPAN coverage of the Democratic debates over the final combining of the House and Senate versions. All this after, then candidate, Barack Obama promised Hope and Change with numerous promises to provide the American people with a transparent government. Apparently they have something to hide from the American people as they plan to provide America with some of the worst change imaginable.
Representative Steve King made the following statement regarding the issue of Liberals blocking C-SPAN and the American people from health care negotiations between the House and the Senate on the final version.
“Bypassing a conference committee and shutting C-SPAN cameras out of health care negotiations allows the liberal troika of President Obama, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid to craft their bill out of the public’s eye. When the legislation comes up for a final vote, amendments will not be allowed and limited debate will be held. No previous committee action or amendment votes will apply to this completely new bill.
“This is the functional equivalent of Obama, Pelosi and Reid getting together in a phone booth, shutting the doors and crafting a massive health care bill that will affect our entire country. Writing their government-run health care legislation in secret to prevent the participation of the American people and to expedite the bill’s passage is shameful. The only thing that is transparent is this troika’s disdain for transparency.”
Senator Harry Reid’s office had the following response regarding the blackout of C-SPAN coverage while he tried to divert the blame to the Republicans.
STATEMENT FROM REID SPOKESMAN ON HEALTH REFORM TRANSPARENCY
Washington, DC—Spokesman for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, Jim Manley, released the following statement today regarding the transparent process undertaken by Senate Democrats to lead passage of The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act through the Senate last month:
“Senator Reid appreciates C-SPAN’s commitment to ensuring transparency and we will continue to fully comply with the longstanding precedents of open access to the work of Congress.
“The drafting of this health insurance reform bill has set new standards for transparency. As the C-SPAN letter states, there have been ‘literally hundreds of hours of committee hearings, mark ups and floor debate on these bills’ – and every one of those hours was broadcast across the country.
“The HELP Committee held a televised markup that lasted more than 13 days, and in which it accepted 161 Republican amendments. The Finance Committee then marked up their bill for eight days – the longest in 22 years – and each of those meetings was similarly broadcast. The Committee posted the Chairman’s mark of the bill online six days earlier. The full text of the substitute amendment and the Congressional Budget Office’s assessment were both available online for weeks.
“But what should truly concern the American people is the Republicans’ shamelessly transparent strategy of relying on misinformation and myths to stop reform at all costs. Their ploys are broadcast on C-SPAN for all of America to see, as much of it happens on the Senate floor. For example, at the beginning of the floor debate Senator Reid asked consent from Senate Republicans to file all amendments well in advance and post them on the Internet, but the Republican Leadership refused this request. During consideration of the Sanders amendment, Republicans publicly made clear they would use procedural games to turn ‘transparency’ into a tactic of delay and obstruction.
“Just as our health reform bill will create a more open health insurance system – transparency that will save lives and money and stop insurance company abuses – we are committed to transparency in the legislative process. We will continue to ensure that the Congress and the public will have ample opportunity to evaluate the bill before it moves to final passage.”

Obama’s Health Care Plan C-SPAN Coverage – Cartoon
Posted by: | CommentsThe latest from Rob Smith, Jr. is a political cartoon stating, “Obama’s Health-Care Plan TV Coverage… ” and then shows a blank C-SPAN television screen.

The U.S. Senators Have Closed Off “We The People”
Posted by: | CommentsThe U.S. Senators (60 WEAK ones in particular, whose party letter directly following their names, coincidentally is a higher grade level than deserved) have decided on their own to ignore the constituents of their own states and just for good measure, each of the other 49 states’ constituents (or in Obamanese – the other 56 states).
What was heard on the floor of the Senate by the Liberal Democrats was nothing more than lie after lie with bribes sprinkled in between to get their vote on board this torpedo of a bill to sink America. Much like the first monkey, except the polar opposite of what was demanded, the Democrats continued on and on, but failed the highest calling of their Oath of Office, the Senate Prayer and the “Pledge of Allegiance” before the vote was cast… there was no truth spoken. Spoke all Evil!

Like the monkey in the middle, the Senators don’t appear to see anything! See No Evil! (Real Facts are the Democrat’s Evil)
Last, but not least, the first monkey who hears nothing. How many town halls this past summer and fall did Senators fail to show for? How many Senators held none? How many Senators substituted a one side conference call? They wanted to Hear No Evil! (Anything that agrees with the U.S. Constitution & our original founders was not to the Democratic Senators’ likings).
I am making a commitment (feel free to grab the detailed tips linked) to continue all efforts in Arkansas to install appropriate Patriotic representation. As many are aware across the USA, Arkansas currently has an embarrassing tag team of U.S. Senators and U.S. Representatives of the House. A mistake that we intend to correct. I personally would like to apologize to America for our poor choices.
Healthcare Reform Bill Moves Another Step Closer to Passing
Posted by: | CommentsToday’s article is coming out later than usual because of my trying to decide just how I wanted to approach this tragedy. I finally decided, the hell with it, I’ll just let my fingers make that decision for me. And they did just that. Enjoy!
Once again many of us found ourselves glued to C-SPAN2, in the middle of the night, as the Senate voted on cloture of the Harry Reid Amendment for the healthcare reform bill. We watched as votes were bought, threats were made, and bribes were placed to bring on the 60 votes needed to approve a cloture for this amendment.
This administration has used everything within their reach to push through one of the most tragic bills to ever be presented to the American population. Chicago Style Politics has been used in so many ways with the agendas of this President’s Administration. Senator Ben Nelson, of Nebraska, was one of the latest to cave to these tactics, while accepting a bribe for his support. One just has to wonder what all took place behind those closed door meetings to get Senator Nelson to become a traitor against the good people of Nebraska when the majority of Nebraskans are strongly opposed to the passage of the proposed legislation. If last nights emergency healthcare rally is a sign of what’s to come for Nelson, I’d say that his choice to place a vote for Cloture, of Reid’s amendment, was indeed his not so logical choice to vote himself right out of office.
Being from Iowa, I watched the C-SPAN2 coverage with a great deal of embarrassment as Senator Tom Harkin, of Iowa, stood there
and talked about all the advantages of this health care legislation. Nearly everything he talked about was developed from a twisted mess of lies. He even talked about keeping your current healthcare if you are happy with it. Those of us who have been paying attention to this whole mess, already know this is a complete lie.
In his form constituent responses and other means, Senator Tom Harkin has had a tendency to use poll numbers showing a majority of Iowans being in support of healthcare reform. To be honest, I am one of those people. What he doesn’t do, is to detail those numbers and show just how many Iowans are against this proposed healthcare reform and are actually in support of true remedies to the issues. Senator Harkin, the Iowans, who have read all or parts of this bill and it’s amendments, are far too smart to be in support of the terrible legislation that you are proposing for Iowa and the rest of America. You are a complete embarrassment for Iowa and I do know there is a growing movement forming to make sure you will no longer have the opportunity to continue to embarrass Iowa.
And then there was Senator Harry Reid, who decided to stand up and dish out some of his lies. He stated, “Americans are dieing far too soon.” And yet, if he gets his way, Americans will most likely die earlier, while suffering and waiting in a line of government red tape. A shortage of medical professionals and facilities will be the direct cause of people suffering and dieing while waiting for proper care. You don’t have to look any further than our Canadian neighbors to find many such perfect examples of this.
Truth be known, I am in support of a viable health care reform that is NOT controlled by the government and so full of legislative pork and bribes. Most people I speak with are in complete agreement that reform is indeed needed. We just have no interest in the inefficiencies of our government being in control of it.
What Conservatives and Republicans don’t seem to be aware of, is that your Republican legislators are doing far less to stop the passage of this bill than you are aware of. It seems they have little interest in delaying the passage of this bill as stated by Republican Senator Jon Kyl on Bill Bennett’s radio show. The details of this, and much more, can be found at, Earth Times. Don’t be shocked when you realize that both parties are to blame for this bill moving forward.
Here’s one of the many revealing things they pointed out:
“Republican Senator Jon Kyl let the cat out of the bag on Bill Bennett’s radio show last week. When guest host Rick Santorum asked Kyl, ‘What is your strategy, to the extent you can share it,’ Kyl said, ‘Our strategy is not actually to delay…Our strategy is to have a lot of good amendments and highlight the problems in the bill. It is not our strategy to somehow slow things down.’
Fortunately for America, this battle is not yet over. There are a number of steps left before we can even think about letting up with this fight against Chicago Style Politics. Just because the Christmas Holiday Season is upon us, does not mean it is time to let down your guard. Keep calling, emailing, and faxing all of your legislators on a daily basis and let them know you are strongly opposed to an attack on the best healthcare system in the world.
With votes expected to take place on Christmas Eve, what are you going to let these jokers give you for Christmas?
